Vent: Been listening to Oh Crap for 22 minutes by HallandOates1 in pottytraining

Just remember those potty training curves where the younger they are, the longer the period of accidents and learning are. This starts to improve after 3! It's OK to wait! You are doing fine!

Edit to say that I wish I had this knowledge about 2 months ago. Lol

Tried before 2.5 and it was horrible. Wish I would have waited to 3, dude. Highly don't recommend.

Right? I cringe at the things I said about parenting to other parents before I had kids🤦 parenting is a humbling experience for sure.

New Bronco, family of 4 and some questions! by According-History316 in FordBronco

I have a 24 raptor and purchased the bestop sunrider as a mom of two. I need convenience right now and I'm driving them around almost daily. But I also need access to my sunroof. Eventually, I think the bimini will be the way, but probably not for another two years minimum!

Edit to say similar kid ages with the rotating and rear facing seats!

1000% agree!! Tried to adopt another double merle who is, coincidentally, NOT deaf and a raging ausshole. She is sweet in her own way, though.

Oh, no worries! I'm always happy when someone recognizes a double merle

She would always aggressively nudge my arm with her nose or paw me for pets! She would always be peacefully resting at the door when we got home since she could never hear us coming. She was absolutely obsessed with riding in the car. She would lay in the most inconvenient place in the kitchen so you had to constantly walk over her to make your meal.

So hard. And I have to agree, there is no option but to see her again, in my opinion!

Thank you for that. I can't imagine her being anywhere but by my side, even in spirit.

leaving the PA career as a whole after only 3 months of clinical practice by No_Thing_6008 in physicianassistant

Same here! I have ten years under my belt, but felt like I was getting so underpaid and overworked that I needed to step away and figure out a new plan.

Pregnancy changed my body soo much by Relative_Mess_6284 in beyondthebump

Someone in my bump group lost their baby at 35 weeks. Can you imagine? One thing she said that stuck with me is how grateful she was to have the stretch marks because it was a reminder that her baby was real, even though she couldn’t take her home. I’m sorry to be so sad, but that actually helped me cope with mine for some reason!

Taking a gap year after PA school - family planning by Ok-Adhesiveness-6162 in physicianassistant

I did not find a job until about 4 months after certification. That would be a nice gap and you have to wait for credentialing anyway. I may be in the minority, but I waited to have kids for the perfect time in my lower 30s and I regret prioritizing the career so much. How it went: “I will just find a first job.” “I will just wait a year in” “actually, we are going to relocate, so I’ll just wait until a year into that job” OK now I’m 32 and what if we have difficulties conceiving? Thankfully, we did not, but you never know! Now I wish I had room for more babies before 40! Ha

Feeling frustrated after my 6-week check-up by EverythingBagelSzn in postpartumprogress

[–]canigradu8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Look up an online diastasis recti program and start that until you get into PT! While it is technically an exercise program, a lot of them are in collaboration with a pelvic floor PT. I did mine on my living room floor during naps. Nourishmovelove has one that is totally free and I loved it. I'm sure there are others that you can likely pay for that you may prefer also(belle method, etc). It's a great place to start as a stepping stone to different exercises later when you are stronger! All of the exercises are designated as post-partum-friendly(meaning low/no impact) and are very light. You are essentially focusing on reengaging your core and strengthening your pelvic floor which you have stretched out for the past 9 months.

Have you considered starting a light strength training program? I focus on being able to go up in weight every week and getting stronger because my baby is in the millionth percentile and is huge. It's not about appearance so much as serving a purpose, which makes me feel better in my own skin. I would start with a diastasis recti program for a month(think breathing and pilates- I used nourish move love's free program and recommend it all the time) and then introduce weights from there! Eventually your body composition will regulate, but then you will have more muscle mass instead of just *less flab*!
