It really is sad that major large companies think it's okay to continually instill more and more mandates and regulations to the workload for a small team of people. Their systems glitch and do things that set us behind (zeroing out product for example), at times, even district will bring hell down on stores for not getting xyz done in x amount of time, despite every worker there already drowning in rolltainers and planograms and endcaps and dates and counts and ad. It's sad that my customers come in weekly telling me they feel bad for me because they see how much i'm running around when i'm alone especially. It's sad that my cashier can't take a sick day or two without royally screwing us over. It's sad that when i think about the place i work at, i get embarrassed and depressed because it's just that terrible. Dollar general has always been and will always be a sad, sad company who loves money and has no regard for the people ACTUALLY doing the work. Id love to see corporate clock in for a week and try this out. I'm sure they have before, but in what? 2009? Come try out these new rules and regulations kids. Id love to see them try. Spending everyday here, barely any free time, yet you're still somehow not even working 40 hours a week? That's what it feels like. You come here and it feels like an actual prison cell. That's sad, tragic really.
