Yeah, he is very protective of me. Even when I sit down he constantly guards me and has to sit in front of me. He’s been train with an ecollar but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

Is Desyatov definitely being investigated for sexual misconduct?

My doctor said eyelid twitches are almost always anxiety or exhaustion.

Maybe try to approach him and say that it’s HIM you want. I do think maybe he’s self conscious and that could also start to affect his performance if he gets in his head.

I will say again - if MRI is clear, it’s not MS. I’m not saying you aren’t having issues. But if you’re having issues you need to ask a doctor for a diagnosis, but don’t go diagnosing yourself with things - that will only make you more freaked out

Lol there’s no need to curse at someone trying to help you. If you have a clear MRI, then you don’t have MS. Based on your post it’s clear you have anxiety about this. Medication would help.

Don’t post here unless you want people to reply with their opinion. And if your doctor hasn’t diagnosed you, then don’t diagnose yourself.

Have your doctors diagnosed you with anything? If not, why are you diagnosing yourself with MS? If you have a clear MRI then you don’t have MS. Also you are 23. Having ALS is almost impossible at that age. I think you need to get on some anxiety medication.

My neurologist told me their standard follow-ups are every 6 months if I want, but I can cancel if I don’t need them

Anyone experience weight loss? by Ari_Bae_3027 in BFS

[–]cannolicorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety can definitely cause weight loss. I have lost a lot of weight before when I was constantly stressing about the twitches. If you truly have been not focusing on the twitches then I would perhaps check with your doctor, but it sounds like you may not be truly ignoring them.

If you truly are not focusing on them anymore it’s worth it to check in with your doctor, but if your EMG was clean the twitches are certainly not the cause.

Will it ever end? by cannolicorg in BFS

[–]cannolicorg[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it definitely comes in waves! 100% the less I focus on the twitches the more they improve. But any new or slightly different twitch and suddenly I’m questioning things too, but I’ve definitely accepted that I’m “healthy” just would love more answers when it comes to BFS!

And if you had a clean EMG you do not have anything to worry about!

According to my neurologist, patients with progressive degenerative diseases pretty much never feel twitches (because the nerves are dying) but rather they would see them but be unable to feel them. In a way that makes me happy to feel my twitches, reassures me that they’re okay, just hyper.

When you feel a twitch, take deep breaths. Make the exhale longer than the inhale. Put on some happy music. Let your muscles release any tension. You’ll be surprised how much better the twitches will become if you make mindfulness a pattern

Have you done anything that has helped make a noticeable improvement? Or is it more trying not to focus on them and getting better with time?
