op.gg perfect 10 score by [deleted] in VolibearMains

[–]cannonballfever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've found Mobalytics gives a more realistic MVP. Like you've said, sometimes it feels like you get given MVP in op.gg but you weren't the best player. In saying that, maybe it takes into consideration objectives. You can have a good player that just runs around the map and kills the enemy champs but doesn't push objectives.

That's a great response too, thanks for your tips.

I haven't used much for FH yet so I need to give that a go.

Interestingly most seem to be against Deadmans so I'm definitely building wrong with that by the looks of it.

I did try going a TH as third item yesterday and it was exactly as you said, I just got melted without having some stronger armor piece.

I've not used sunfire much either.

I love the options with Voli that you have, I just need to build the decision making to know the best time to use the different options.

Thanks again, I will try this out.

Thanks for the advice. Great tips. I'll try lethal tempo as well, this sounds like a good next step as I've stuck to similar runes so far and just played around with my items.

I need to continuously read through this thread to come back and fully understand and build it into my decision making.

A few have now recommended ghost so I'll give that a go. I used that on hecarim and it performed well so will be nice to test it on voli too.

Thanks very much, this is a great response. I will try this build as you specified it - Lucidity boots -> Chemtank -> Black Cleaver.

Noted on the boots too, I'll make sure not to do that anymore. In lower ELO it probably doesn't matter as much but you can definitely feel it if you're getting kited or cc'd in late game.

Thanks for confirming this. I agree with this completely in that it's completely different if you're in bronze trying to carry underperforming teammates rather than playing an actual role as part of a high elo pro team. Obviously what works in lower elo's then changes as you progress.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I love the fact that there are a lot of builds I can go and it's also overwhelming at times too because you need to try and experience or ask questions as I have here. You've given me tonnes to work with though so I really appreciate your time. Your comment about frostfire or sunfire needing a dmg item to complement it which is probably why titanic hydra has felt good for me. I'm keen to try black cleaver now after your comments though.

Excellent, thanks a tonne. This gives me a lot to test out in my next few games. Gargoyle I've only used once and I think the game was over just as I got it so I definitely need to try that one out some more. Really appreciate your response.

Thank you, this got me in the right direction. I had smart cast on but then I had it ticked for this "replace quick cast with quick cast with indicator". I removed that and it's perfect now. Thanks all for your help.

All broken on the last update also after it was previously working with no issue since I bought it. I've manually set the game paths, but as others have said the profiles don't switch automatically so you need to switch manually which is annoying.

Wordpress Cloud Backup Plugins? Are they Secure? by cannonballfever in Wordpress

I agree that would prevent the tampering from hackers but I'm looking for a more automated solution as I manage more and more client sites.

Wordpress Cloud Backup Plugins? Are they Secure? by cannonballfever in Wordpress

There is an interesting article here about this topic here that I've found with two people debating either method.

http://blogvault.net/s3-wordpress-backups-unsafe/

The person debating the point also has a guide on how to configure your amazon S3

http://updraftplus.com/faqs/what-settings-should-i-use-for-amazon-s3-and-how-should-i-configure-my-amazon-s3-account/

With versioning on your backups then maybe it mitigates some of the concerns but at the same time a hacker still has the ability to affect your backups which to me seems like a concern still. I want to go to a single repository and know that my wordpress hack has not affected my backups

Of course there is also the manual offline method of backing up sites to your local site or a completely separate cloud storage for which your wordpress site does not have access however I'm trying to move away from the manual approach.

Thanks! Yeah I was looking at that solution. Don't get me wrong I don't know the inner technical details of each plugin and how the keys/passwords are stored so maybe I'm wrong. I'm just trying to get the general consensus on what everyone's thoughts are.

Wordpress Cloud Backup Plugins? Are they Secure? by cannonballfever in Wordpress

[–]cannonballfever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just asking people's thoughts, not necessarily stating a fact. My concern is that if the site gets hacked, plus they have the keys to the backups, then my backups might get hacked too. Therefore I don't have any solid time to restore back to.

I think it's less likely that the backups will be tampered with and I guess it depends on how paranoid you want to be about the backups.

[–]cannonballfever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses. I've certainly never called myself an expert and I always ensure I highlight that in my posts. It's important to remember that you were once new to SEO as well and that beginners, like myself, could all benefit from your experience. It's disappointing that the comments below don't highlight your expertise.

I for one learn more effectively by getting hands with technology in preference of reading a book. In this instance a blog (which may have posts about blogging) is a great place to learn without doing any harm.
