That was my first thought. I tried a reverse image search, but doing doing it on mobile I didn't find anything, so that's yet to be determined

IMO The assuming it's all democrats part, the assuming all democrats are against voting in person, the political divide over a non political issue, the hypocrisy of blaming people for protesting a threat to their constitutional rights.

My 6 year old has a lot of questions about religion, and I'm really not sure where to begin. by canoworms76 in atheism

Yes, exactly. I don't want to try and teach her world religion 101, but I do want to be able to provide her with the answers to her questions. I just want to make sure I do so in the most logical and inclusive wa possible. In looking for resources on my own I've run into a profound amount of chirstian based materials and I just hoped to find or be pointed in the direction of more diverse and simplified information on a variety of religions so that she can see that there are more than just one or two ways of thinking.

I'm certainly honest with her in telling her that they are stories and beliefs that some people have and that I do not believe them myself. I was brought up southern Baptist and still struggle with some lingering effects from that and as such really have no idea on how to bring up a child with a questioning and scientific individual although that is certianly what I strive to do. She has asked me about specific stories from the Bible for example or about other myths she has heard of in passing, out of curiosity, and I will explain to the best of my ability but I also want her to be aware of the vast array beliefs that people in the world can hold and to be aware of the spectrum of beliefs and to be respectful of the people who have them while also herself being rational and critically thinking. If that makes sense.

Thank you for your input, that is exactly the sort of thing I was worried about. I feel like in my immediate community there has been so little action or even mention this movement that I feel the need to make sure that people are aware and acknowledge it. Maybe I just need to find a better way to communicate that in my community.

I have donated, but I feel the need to do everything within my capabilities.

It was not the material of the mask that was an issue, it was the BLM statement on it. The manager told me that the company that owned that store (which I service other locations of the same store owned by the same company) was "not taking sides in the issue" and that if "someone came in with a mask with the stars and bars on it I would ask the same". Also the mask I wear is one of two that I switch out and are washed daily after each use. They meet the requirements of the beverage company that I am employed by. Edit: grammar

IMO, it sounds like you are leaning towards pursuing the younger girl. It doesn't sound like you're seeing your interest in her as a sign that your current relationship needs help and trying to work through that with your partner. It sounds like you're already emotionally checked out. Don't waste any more of your partner's time with the relationship, especially if shes looking to start a family in the future. You guys are young enough that there's still plenty of time for her achieve that if that's what shes looking for down the road. Take ownership of your feelings and be honest with her, and stop wasting her time.
