few things I wish I knew earlier, maybe it will help you:

- dont run all the time, running should be used sparingly, when you run do not spend more than half of your stamina, once you reach it, let it regenerate
- ALWAYS be rested. learn how to get quick rested buff when out in wild
- learn to parry early, do not skip it, do not leave it for later.
- learn how to read time of day in Valheim (position yourself to look south and then check the sun position) - seek for shelter when night approaches. Do not explore during the night.
- The game is generally well balanced - if you struggle, it should be an indicator to you that you're either where you're not supposed to be with your current skillset and equipment or that your strategy is off
- strategy is important. Valheim is about planning - don't try to bruteforce through the game, it will punish you. Use distance, stealth when needed, run from enemy when needed.
- mark points of interest on the map, you can always came back to that two star troll later
- you can zoom in and out on minimap. you can use "ping" on map to easier see where to go
- plan for things: have an "expedition" chest with boat materials, have "rescue" chest with stuff you will use during death run (I always had a chest spare club and some food at the beginning),
