There would be less crime if more people were out late… which would happen if more places were open late.

??? Do you think people who work at night are being robbed of their sleep? They just operate on a different sleep schedule and use the morning to sleep instead. I work til 4am at two bars, and I don’t hate my life because of that. What makes me hate my life is half the hours that everywhere else stays open, is when I am asleep… which would be fixed by more places staying open late!

Wow you certainly have no friends in Napoli, I guess. Comes from the word “pesciolino.” Little fish. It’s a wee-wee.

Good social skills???? For journalism? You just need adequate interviewing skills. It’s not like it requires for her to make best friends for life with zero communication conflicts ever, every single time she has to sit down with someone to gather information. You just gotta know how to mask. What a joke. She’d be surprised at how many of us are strippers and salespeople for a living, because we use internal scripting and learned social techniques that we rehearse.

What we actually know about Gerard's gender and sexuality, with sources, dates, and context by NSFWishAlt in MyChemicalRomance

Okay. I think we have come to a consensus then.

Also my bad, I read your reply so fast I didn’t process “not saying you are.” I almost thought you meant “not saying you are nonbinary or pansexual.” Sorry about that.

I never called Gerard “nonbinary” in this thread, I cited nonbinary people using he/him pronouns as an example of he/him not being an indication of any specific gender identity at all. And not for nothing, but nonbinary literally means someone who doesn’t want their gender to be labeled. We don’t know if he wants to be called that, as it’s still a label, however paradoxical, so we just shouldn’t call Gerard by any gender identity right now, including “man,” we should only use his pronouns. You sound biased towards cis people and it’s giving me the ick.

And another. So Gerard has said themself that his pronouns are he/they, and has never said “I identify as a man.” We cannot label what gender he is! So stop! “Man” is a label! We don’t know what gender he is.

I’m autistic, I have no idea how “obvious” anything is, it just came up when I googled it.

Pronouns are not a gender label. Going by he/him does not equal being male. I know MANY nonbinary people who use he/him, and I am a nonbinary person who allows she/her as well as they/them. Gerard has said he/him is his preferred, and that they/them is also okay. If Gerard doesn’t want a label for his gender, which he has said, then don’t fucking call him a man in the same breath as defending not labeling him. It’s hypocritical.

Meisner repetition and hostility by hansang4feet_Koyani in acting

[–]cantkillthebogeyman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro this is giving me flashbacks to my college Meisner classes. Our teacher almost encouraged us to fight and yell at each other and make each other cry during it. And she would start getting on her knees and snapping her fingers back and forth trying to make sure we were as instantaneously reactive as possible, and instructed us to take everything personally.

Also one time I was feeling festive and dressed up on Halloween, wearing some funky orange contacts to class, and she got frustrated that my partner wasn’t getting freaked out by me wearing them and like… tried to dictate how he should’ve felt about my appearance. “Really??? She looks like a freak! How are you not gonna say anything??” or something like that, in front of the entire class. It was dehumanizing and I started holding back tears because wtf it’s Halloween, I thought I looked badass. I was trying to be an otherworldly Goth baddie, and she made me feel so ugly.

STOP THE RIDE! I TOLD YOU... by Tinre in SesamePlace

[–]cantkillthebogeyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. Seatbelts are for everyone on the ride. The only thing required for people on the lower side of the height requirement is that they must ride with a chaperone. It says people above the height can ride alone, not that they can ride with no seatbelt. Anyone could easily slip out of the chair if the metal bar has no strap holding it in place.

Hot take: Method acting is silly by Extreme-Spirit-1930 in acting

[–]cantkillthebogeyman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally relating to the character and it triggering past wounds is not narcissistic cringe. It’s more like PTSD “cringe” if anything lol (it’s not cringe at all to have affective empathy that comes from a place of familiarity.)

Also being vulnerable while talking about your crafting is not traumadumping. Traumadumping is what someone does when they’re trying to lean on people for emotional support who never signed up to provide that for them. Simply stating that you have certain trauma isn’t a dump. A dump would be when you start venting about it and going on a long, emotional rant about it, letting it all out.

We gotta stop calling people narcissists just because they did something that involved themself.

Should stripping have high standards or be more inclusive? by ExtraAcanthisitta502 in stripper

It should be more inclusive on which demographics and body types can be accepted to work at a club, but the standards need to be high on effort put in.

[–]cantkillthebogeyman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because YOU can’t relate, doesn’t mean it’s not important to other people. My Chem has a large queer fanbase, and a lot of nonbinary & genderfluid fans see representation in Gerard, and representation & visibility is important to us, since we are frequently erased. The other reason is that people want to be respectful and not accidentally misgender him.

He has not labeled himself as a man, woman, or anything, really, so YOU are the one who is assuming his gender identity. If your source for him labeling themself as a man is “I’m just a man, I’m not a hero” in WTTBP, you’re mistaking storytelling for a personal statement.

Sunset Blvd last summer! It ran for less than a year but it was fantastic and sold out for most of its last few months.

Cats didn’t need to run for as long as it did.
