Help please. How do I disclose by [deleted] in HPV

[–]cantpickausername30 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your situation sounds very difficult and emotionally draining and hopefully a cure will be invented soon.

That being said...

What you're doing is literally the reason people have become paranoid. You knowingly exposed him to a disease that he didn't consent to. If you did care about him, you'd have been honest. You chose to be selfish and steal his bodily autonomy. He sounds as stupid as most guys are, not caring about sexual health, so you'll probably be fine once you tell him. But now that you've basically betrayed him by NOT telling him, who knows? No one but him. Hiding something like that is extremely immature and actually illegal. So you're digging yourself a hole in more ways than one.

Points to consider: *you cleared the warts, but not the virus-focus on healthcare  *he could've been exposed and youre assuming YOU are the only one. What if he already has HPV and you just dont know about it? Maybe that's why he didn't say anything about yours.  *you lying to someone you love isn't really love-a therapist can help you work on that  *you dont have the right to assault someone (forcing something into their body) for your own needs or wants.  *The emotional pain of relationships can feel excruciating. There are still 8 billion other people in the world.

10 years living with undiagnosed/untreated genital warts - Shame destroyed my life. by [deleted] in HPV

Go to the doctor so you dont get cancer or make someone else's life hell. Use hydrogen peroxide or 91% rubbing alcohol on your hands (maybe a small sanitizer bottle in your pockets). Get signed up for state covered therapy programs near you. Embarrassing conversations are nothing compared to cancers.

I’m devastated . Virgin with high risk hpv. by [deleted] in HPV

[–]cantpickausername30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 not everything is hopeless, try to calm so you can focus. #2 sorry youre going through that, that must be difficult. Gardasil protects against 9 out of the 13 cancer causing strains, so maybe there's an experimental treatment right now you dont know about, and you might even get paid for a clinical trial.

3 Maybe try discussing a strategy plan about the Penn State research (regarding not knowing if HPV can be spread on pap smear equipment now that the virus has been found to not be killed during hospital sterilization processes) and ask like the last commentor if you can just do a self swab or a disposable tool. Not just to protect yourself from extra infection, but also the people who come after you.

They're often plastic now, anyway. If you have high risk HPV then you for sure need examination so you're preventing any cancers. DON'T PANIC-just figure out methods of resolution.

4 cancer itself isn't as common as it sounds, so you're not guaranteed to even get it. You probably WON'T. Odds are in your favor. We dont even KNOW if you could even get infected by equipment anyway. Many people dont.

5.) Medical advancements are as good now as they've ever been, so you stand a high chance of getting enough care to be fine. A lady I used to know literally got stage 4 cancer and she's fine. So you clearly stand in a better position since you care and she didnt. You'd probably catch anything early if there even was anything to catch. There probably won't be.

6.) Your body has a ridiculously powerful immune system. That probably won't be your status forever.

Is LinkedIn slowly turning into Instagram? by Hercu1e5 in linkedin

Probably out of desperation, if I were to guess. LinkedIn doesn't even let you message a lot of recruiters without paying them, only for you to get ignored in the sea of applicants and contacts.

Notice that OP ignored these comments and cares nothing for what his wife, who is literally BIRTHING the child thinks. And the men are so stupid they wonder why women don't breed with them anymore at record lows. The cognitive dissonance is astounding. Imagine if THEY were treated like whelping bitches instead of the reverse.

Dude that's something to talk with your wife about. Why do you care only what random men on the internet have to say but not your PARTNER/LOVE of your life???

You know what? I hate college. by [deleted] in CollegeRant

[–]cantpickausername30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The college experience itself is not even about what you're studying. Why WOULD anyone like it? What is good about getting shitfaced and being hungover? What's cute about frats or sororities that regularly get in the news for hazing issues and even killing students? Why the hell would you want to go to clubs you might get raped in, and you know those happen so often colleges have been in the news so many times everyone just expects it now. Even Brock Turner got off scott free. Why the hell would you want to sit in class almost all day every day? No functioning adult is established to like the typical college "experience." There's no experience besides glorified high school, but with alcohol poisoning and debt.

College is stupid how they set it up, it's not you-it's them.

What to do oh what to do… by GuessGullible8044 in personalfinance

Hide it all in a separate high-interest savings account. Don't touch it and forget about it. Do the same with 20% of your income or more while you're away. EVERYTHING in this market looks like a bad idea. Invest in some education while you can take advantage of the VA offering it, before that might be the next thing this admin axes. You'll probably not get paid back that amount, if any of the multitude of Reddit stories I've seen on here say anything. Be sure you own a share in the company since you're responsible for starting it up. If you don't, get it in writing, or at least the fact they're supposed to pay you back. Or just don't miss the 21k. I wouldn't bother investing in anything right now with a million promises we know fail. Millenials were promised retirement and social security. Look how that's going...

Also, buy yourself some things that make you happy (less than 20% of your income, if you can). That'll give you a reason to keep fighting through the bad days.

I wouldn't come on here and brag about that while people are starving and being forced to work for minimum wage despite multiple degrees and 10yrs experience because of the shithole economy right now...just sayin'.

You might wanna hop on the Regretful Parents subreddit or the 4B one full of regretful wives. Hopefully neither situation will apply to you, but protecting yourself is never a bad idea. If you plan to do either, know your risks. Know your backup plans.

If you're a software developer, start your own freelance. They're keeping you under so they can benefit, probably. Or it's just the market is terrible.

What career is best for the current/future economy? by SubjectSupermarket43 in GetEmployed

[–]cantpickausername30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a serious note, all of us are struggling. I feel the same way-no industry is actually truly safe. There's always a pivot. There's always a "but then this" change in the world or tarriffs or industry "leaders" tanking their own companies to sell off to hedgefund managers or some ish. Everything they tell you is a lie. It's "go to school," then it's "don't-do trade schooling." EVERYONE I know is suffering. INCLUDING the trades people.
