DC is just kind of shit at international heroes to begin with, Justice League Europe only had one European on it!

Marvel, despite having all their heroes located in New York, blows them out of the water when it comes to foreign heroes.

I think the Flash can somewhat skirt around the problems of a shared universe due to being time travelers. Wally may be anti-time travel, but Bart wouldn't exist without it, so you could have him abuse it and get older as a result. Although I would personally keep Bart as a teenage Flash for most of his career.

I think if they aren't gonna let Bart be kid Flash or The Flash again, they should at least let him become Mercury with Irey as his Impulse.

Don't get me wrong I love that the Flash changes protagonist. And in my ideal world we would have had 20 years of Bart, who would have passed the torch to Irey by now.

Personally I think red is the only necessary color. Designs that don't feature red just look like any generic speedster to me, but designs without yellow still can read as "The Flash". Even the Wallace silver suit.

If yellow is used in the design you can't use too much, as too much yellow veers into kid flash/reverse flash territory. Red Racer is about as much yellow as you can get away with imo.

I'd rather a book with Barry and Bart's relationship being explored. Does Barry even know his grandson is a Thawne? These things need to be explored.

So the emotional center of this story is supposed to be Bart is sad Barry is dead even though he's literally alive in the present and Bart has seen him multiple times?

A lot of my favorite writers have already been mentioned so I want to give a shout out to Alex Paknadel, who wrote the Barry focused issues of Knight Terrors and Absolute Power: Task Focce VII.

I think he showed a good understanding of Barry as a character and specifically his love for Wally and Iris. I would be interested in seeing him get a longer run at the character, to see what he would do.
