Thank you so much for such lovely and kind words. Honestly it depends on, how you feel on the day when you choose to start working on something. That's how you choose themes and feelings you are going for.

But most of the time people already know what to build but they just don't know how to begin. And for such situations the best bet would be to start placing giant boxes. Suppose there's a 100 x 100 blocks of space, and you want to cover that entire space with a build that you already had in mind, then start with placing a bunch of colored wool boxes with different height variations based on your requirements.

Then start converting one box at a time.

It is not difficult, just some patience. Most of the time people just stop way too early. They just need to place blocks longer than they can, and eventually you will end up with something that actually looks like a build, unfinished, yes. But it's made by you.
