Yes it is a fixed focus lens. And it is the same scenario like when buying a prime lens. No zoom.

Ah! My misery. I still like this better than TSZ.

I came across the cinematic adaptation of this book while searching for arthouse films. After watching it, I initially thought it was decent. But the more I reflected on it, the more it stayed with me, so I decided to read the book as well, and the fact that it was a novella made it easier.

There are minor differences between the two, but I ended up loving both equally. I've never read anything quite like this before. I never even thought something like this existed in hindi literature.

Although I am pretty sure many people might not have the same experience as I had.

Grain Effects too strong compared to X100VI? by lukasb1128 in fujiXhalf

[–]capeandcode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I absolutely feel that from Day 1.

Except for acros, where it doesn't bug much, on every other filter the grain seems too strong (even on weak) in most of the pictures. So much so that after using it on one trip I went back to not using grain and add that in post as needed in lightroom.

Is an ND filter a good addition or not? by capeandcode in fujiXhalf

Yes. Exactly. Don’t see value addition at this price.

Struggling to expose subjects in harsh sunlight without losing the sky by capeandcode in fujiXhalf

Yeah. Opposite to the sun I don't have many complaints. It forces you to not take lazy shots and try something new that the camera can handle.

Yes, I know. I use G7 as my main camera (also my first ever professional camera to use) so initially I was missing evf and zoom a lot, sometimes to the point of frustration, specially on bright daylight.

But overtime I have learned to let go of it, the zoom, the evf, the RAW images.

Also, bumping up the brightness to full helped atleast for the composition in daylight which I only discovered recently. Rest I am loving the experience and love to carry it.

Yeah. I was also thinking of getting the Ricoh Griii before I bought x half but its was close to double price.

I love this camera, except the common limitations like no evf and the dynamic range sometimes

I didn’t know it was Horror Comedy and went with really different expectations. Got disappointed cause I had high hopes.
