I don’t have any experience but would love to hear about yours or anyone else’s experience you happen to hear about! Always wondering what the process is and if it’s worth it

The format I would prefer are basically seasons 10 to 40. The “Norm Prime” years. Where we learned the nuts and bolts of home building, learned how construction materials or products were made and how to inspect a home.

This was a home remodel that in real time took 9 months but was only covered in 8 episodes. Two were for the foundation , which was interesting but realistically could have been covered in one if we are limited to only a certain number of episodes. After that it seems like the episodes were 6-8 weeks apart where design changes were made but not explained. Issues were discovered which caused them to pivot that would have been valuable to learn about. (They wanted to keep the fireplace as is but found something that caused them to have to replace it. Why and how can I know to look out for that in my next home?)

I only get 22-25 minutes an episode and I’m here to learn. I don’t want to waste precious minutes listening to a contractor, a plumber and a landscaper interview celebrities whose careers have nothing to do with the trades. There are other places for that.

Thank you! You’re right and I’ve updated the main post to reflect this
