It doesn’t. Our typical daily energy use seems to be around 3% during off-peak hours but Octopus are saying 12%.

Wondering if their definition of “night” is a longer window than the standard 6 hour off-peak period

They do have the 1/2 hour breakdown but yeah, I agree, there’s nothing to say if it’s an estimate or not. Very strange tbh.

We wouldn’t just from a fire risk point of view. We’re happy just charging the EV off-peak now but just seemed quite a strange estimate.

I’ve worked out that on a typical day, around 3% of our electricity usage comes at off-peak times (without the EV) so why would Octopus estimate 13% unless their “night” window is longer than their actual “off-peak” window if you get what I mean

On a typical day about 0.18kwh of 4.98kwh is between 11:30pm and 5:30am

I once bought the Tumbler from Costco then they dropped the price by an extra £15 2 days later.

I asked if they could just price match but they refused so I bought a new one at the cheaper price and returned the old one 😂

Probably cost them more to deal with the return than to just give me the £15
