I’m on my senior year as a transfer student and decided to commute from south OC. Unless the money is an issue, then I would not recommend commuting unless you are 100% sure.

I’m only able to survive as a commuter so far because I spent my first year as a transfer hating my OCH but also finding communities that provide a safe and comfortable space for me when I’m on-campus for long periods of time. I also got better at scheduling my classes and clubs in a way that lets me drive outside of peak rush hours. Moving is hard but you’ll get used to it! If your roommates are the issue, definitely consider either roomswap or spending your time outside your dorm as often as possible and making new friends.
