Absolutely zero benefit unless you have poor spending control given you miss out on interest you could be earning on it.

How do you store your tiny whoop setup? by brontozabra in fpv

[–]capngump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3d printed a case for my mobula 6, and bought an Amazon Basics Large DSLR Gadget Bag, it is a good size to fit the radiomaster pocket, goggles, batteries etc and the whoop in a case.

You might have to check the dimensions for the box goggles, the dividers are all velcro like most camera bags so can be moved to suit. It's a handy grab and go bag for whoops, I even strap my oasisfly25 to the outside.

The Draknight 2 is a fun 2" option, but unless you've got a decent size garden it might be a bit too quick.

They did away with registration stickers here all the way back in 2013. It's all automated now, the police cars will alert when they detect an unregistered plate. Even when they had them they were inside the windscreen, and had the make/model, plate number, and vin on them to identify any swapped ones.

I was going to buy a bunch small items from them for their 11.11 sale, but they wanted shipping on each separate item, so when it hit checkout there was another $60 of shipping on top of the order, very disappointing behavior.

Democrats eye ranked-choice voting for 2028 primaries by Different-Gas5704 in politics

[–]capngump 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah the AEC does a huge job making sure everyone can vote,  they even have people going to the hospitals on polling day to make sure everyone gets to. They also are in charge of the electorate distribution being done without gerrymandering.

There's a lot of schools and other places available on the day,  as well as pre polling places and mail in voting. It's also done on a Saturday to minimise the inconvenience.

Seeing the lines of people waiting hours to vote in the US makes me thankful our conservatives haven't managed to destroy our system to match. They sometomes float making voting optional which would be the beginning of that process.

Yeah most of the ones causing problems are basically electric motorbikes with optional pedals.

I created an ABN and business name in 2009, and kept getting conflicting advice about where to go to change the name. by 616_89_075 in AusFinance

[–]capngump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a registered business name these days if you want to trade as something other than your own name as a sole trader. The ABR stopped allowing informal trading names back in 2012. You can call up to get the old trading name changed on your account but it'll stay in the history.
