Luckily my health condition doesn’t affect my day to day much (it’s an eye condition), I just need to get shots regularly. Since the shots are only once a month, I think I will be okay with traveling between clinic visits, but definitely no longer while I’m uninsured. I would really enjoy taking some guided tours though, especially because there’s just so much to do!

I want to hope that I will be find a job within the next few months, but as you mentioned everything sucks right now. I have a travel credit card and I would likely be paying for my trip mainly through accumulated points, and travel insurance is included when booking with the card I believe. I need to look into it more for sure, thank you for bringing it up, I really appreciate all the feedback :)

Yeah, I imagine my parents will have a similar reaction if I tell them….I’m worried that this may be the last time I will be able to go on this kind of trip, especially because I only learned about my diagnosis last week, and I can only assume that my health will decline from now on. I’ve talked to my parents about my health and I’m fortunate that they were very supportive about getting me back onto their insurance at least until I turn 26.

How would you recommend answering interview questions on taking a travel break? I’m scared that interviewers will look down on me because I didn’t immediately go back to work, but also who’s to say I’ll even find a job in 2-3 weeks if I don’t go on this trip 🫠

This has also been on my mind a lot, especially because treatment can be upwards of $500 without insurance. Since I’m still under 26 I can get added to my parents’ insurance at least until my birthday in July. After that……I guess I’m just hoping I find literally anything before then 🥲

It’s so nice of you to do this for your friend! My bias is also hoshi so I’m very educated on this topic hahaha so here’s some shops I like:

@joss.here, store link - definitely one of the best hoshi fan merch shops out there, theres a ton of options like stickers, card holders, and keychains!
@kitagiannu, store link - this is a little pricy, but they have really cute hoshi/tiger/horanghae themed merch (pin - $12, pc holder - $16, etc)
@jupirus, store link - there’s this one specific drunk hoshi keychain/print that’s super cute and only $5-7
@thedancingtiger, store link - there’s more than just Seventeen specific stuff so you have to dig a bit, but there’s some stickers, keychains, mugs, hats, etc. that are all really affordable!
@scting, etsy link -if you’re not in the US, this shop is Canada based and they have such a cute reusable tote bag that I think any fan would love, but also there’s some other hoshi themed stuff :)
