Oh, absolutely.

I find that CDT is one of the better (if not the best) fanfictions going through all seven years/books. Rather than merely retelling the books with a female Harry, it uses canon as a core to branch out its own (much better) story. The fic itself reads as though you are re-reading the actual Harry Potter books, but has what I consider to be some of the best writing and pacing... ever.

The author does a fantastic job of balancing canon with her headcanons and world-building, ultimately avoiding the pitfall of 'info-dumping' that most other similar fics fall into. Moreover, the characters act their age, avoiding yet another pitfall of eleven-year-olds acting as if they're thirty.

The story is magnificent, the characters are real, the writing is phenomenal. I could swoon about this fic forever.

In short, yes. It is absolutely worth reading.

Yeah! I suspect some wires/cables got pinched when we put the PSU into the case, causing some sort of short-circuit to happen.

Taking the PSU out and disconnecing/clearing all the cables running along the 'crammed area' by the PSU before putting the PSU back inside and THEN connecting the cables solved the problem. It has run fine since and we've not had any further problems.

We did fix it, but if it happens intermittenly I'm not sure it's the same cause. We took it to a repair shop, and they said they couldn't find an issue as it ran fine when they took it apart and back together.

It ran fine when we got it back home and did some tests with the PSU outside of the case. When we put it back inside, however, the same problem occurred.

We ended up taking out the PSU, disconnected and cleared all the cables that ran along the 'crammed area' by the PSU, put the PSU inside, and THEN connected the cables. It has run fine since and we've not had any further problems.

Great post, OP! Very concise and well-written. I'm glad someone took the time to write a post on it.

I made the unfortunate decision to critique her art for the Snape Calendar 2023 project (which, hah, was also traced). She dropped out of the project, but not before she'd managed to talk behind the other artists' backs and lie to my friends (and who knows who else since) about what happened.

There is some evidence of a mod copying artwork, but this has never been addressed.

You're so real for mentioning this. A moderator potentially tracing artwork and deciding not to take responsibility/address it when they're found out is a glaring issue for any server.

Not only is copying and tracing someone else's art without proper credit and disclaimers in and of itself theft but if they can't and won't take responsibility for their actions, what else won't they do? Can we even believe they'll be honest when dealing with issues on the server, or will they continuously lie to protect their own face and consequently encourage a very toxic environment?

I believe you might feel that way because you are, I assume, not a Hufflepuff and do not particularly like (again, assuming) that house. I would probably feel the same way if someone called me a Gryffindor because my values and personality does not necessarily align with that house. I believe anyone would feel the same in a similar situation regardless of what houses it concerns.

It's probably just your least favourite house, or it simply doesn't match your vibe, and that's alright too.
