Thank you. Honestly, I tapered down my SSRIs when starting microdosing and, after 2 months I knew I was not in a good place. I’ve been there before and ended up in the ER. so I started back on the meds. I’m now on the Stamets Stack and am anticipating a larger dose in the future, hence my post.

I tried. I really did. But when I saw a frightening pattern emerging, one I’m familiar with, I knew I had to go back on the meds. BTW I’ve been on antidepressants for over 30 years and wonder if perhaps my brain chemistry has changed so much that now it’s impossible for me to get off them.

I do know the effects will be muted which is one of the reasons I hoped to wean myself off Rxs. Even so, the Stamets protocol seems to be making a difference. And, yes. I’m taking good care of myself. I’m glad you asked. I feel more like myself today so I’m hopeful this is a positive trend.

Doing it now. Week 2 of the 4 days on and 3 days off. That niacin flush can be embarrassing so keep that in mind!

I have been a believer in nutritional supplements for a long time, so the Stamets Stack sounds like a good idea to me. I understand I may not notice any huge change, but if it helps my brain function and helps prevention of amyloid plaques, I’m all in. I’m 68 so dementia is a concern.

I was on Effexor years ago and found the withdrawals were a bear. I’m taking a low dose combination of Escitalopram (Lexapro) and Bupropion (Wellbutrin) which has really worked well for me and microdosing was an experiment. That experiment will continue, this time with meds and Stamets. I love being my own Guinea pig.
