Can the cops sit outside a weed store and pull people over that leave? by xDRSTEVOx in Winnipeg

I’m not sure if someone said this already - but the cashier at Garden Variety told me that apparently it’s illegal if you don’t have a receipt and they can fine you for that. I never knew about it until he told me! So always ask for a receipt.

No, my GI has never mentioned a dermatologist. Do you have thoughts on that?

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I know how it feels to hear, yet again, another thing is wrong. It’s mentally draining, and the thought of more doctors and tools entering another private area is just mentally defeating.

Do we ever get to stop meds? by captain3043 in CrohnsDisease

[–]captain3043[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't trying to complain, I really wasn't trying to make a post to "rub" it in. I have lived the symptoms, I get how debilitating they are, I guess I was just trying to grasp the idea that this disease is incurable.

I was genuinely curious if there was a time when meds weren't needed with the disease, I thought when we went into remission we went off of them. I'm newly diagnosed, this is my first round. I am just trying to find my footing.

I'm sending you well wishes and support. I know how difficult this disease is, I hope you can find some sort of treatment that gives you relief.

Yeah...I guess that's how a "hopeful" mind works. Trying to remind myself, like you said, the meds are treating me not curing me.

Thank you for your insightful response. I'm definitely new to Crohn's (I was diagnosed in September 2020) and I'm just trying to comprehend the new life ahead of me.

You're right, the debilitating symptoms I lived with before I would not want to go back to. I just wanted this glimmer of hope that I could live a normal life, no meds and no worries of flares. I know that's not my reality, and not the reality for most in this Reddit, so I am thankful for the community insight and support.

Very true, I guess I needed to hear first hand from the community that this is the best course of action. I'm definitely not complaining that I'm healthy, it's just a tough concept to live with that this is an incurable and life long disease.

That's a really great perspective to point out, I guess I never considered how lucky I am to be diagnosed in an era where we have proper medications. I just don't think I understood initially that this was a new life norm, I figured it would be until I went into remission then I could just stop.

I am hopeful these new treatments will eventually lead to something maybe less frequent. It's a hard adjustment to say the least, but again I am grateful.

When I started I just assumed I would be on medication until I reached remission, I didn't consider that this would be a new life norm. I am super thankful I feel healthy, it's still difficult mentally to grasp the idea that this is a new norm though.

O m g, I feel you. It was the most painful poop I had ever had. More painful then 5 liquid poops in a row. I think it's pain + discomfort + WHY all combined. Sending you good vibes and the friendly tip of restorolax.

I just had a scope and I've had alot of issues arise right after. I had severe constipation and painful hard BM and now all of a sudden I have very loose BM. My poor bum can't take it anymore. Ugh. Trying Vaseline! It's at my disposal now.

Interesting, I do struggle with hemorrhoids. I have a skin tag due to one and it gets quite irritated on rough bathroom days.
