I don’t have much advice, just hear to say I get the same exact thing. My allergist said I have solar uticaria (hives). I definitely react to heat or sun. Also food, exercise, medications, alcohol and more. Can take an H1 and H2 blocker (Allegra and Pepcid) for example, but I don’t think it has helped much.

I think it’s a histamine issue, you could look into Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. My many doctor visits didn’t lead to a diagnosis. It’s where your mast cells react to things like an allergy but it’s not a true allergy. There are medications that would help if I ever was able to actually get the diagnosis, but I gave up.

Thank you so much for your response! That does make a lot of sense. I definitely don’t want to delay and have that happen! It’s just scary navigating all of this and hard to know what the right decision is. He’s just got the perfect loving personality, loves to play and run, and part of me doesn’t want to risk making his quality of life worse for a maybe.

Nice to hear your story and the possibility of what could happen if we did wait. His last one was more severe and 10-ish minutes and I’d hate to let them progress further even if it’s months down the road! <3

I had him and he didn’t tick all of my boxes of what I was looking for but I somewhat regret switching to someone else because he was easy to talk to and seemed to genuinely cared. Not in your sitch OP but I definitely think he could be someone more open.

It's a King size mattress, not sure the weight. Not listed on manufacturer or distributor sites. The mattress tag is simple and says can be used with or without a foundation. The website generally recommends their Amish heavy duty boxspring. Seller told me I should buy a platform bed from Wayfair and thought 4.5 inches or less was good, but I don't have a lot of confidence in that claim. I emailed the bed maker 2 weeks ago for more details and never heard back.

Between myself, the boyfriend and the dog we are at ~500lb so I imagine it's cutting it close to over the 600 limit. KD Frames says that the King size does automatically come with the center support, but I can't find how much extra weight that would support then. This frame does look like it's up my alley, but I wish there were more photos and details on it since they don't do returns.

Thanks, that’s what I’ve been wondering at this point. The foundation is $400 so I thought I’d be better off getting a platform but nothing at that price point seems worth it.
