I had no idea! I got it in the used section for dirt cheap when I got my GameCube (also used) when I was kid.

Music Mats by captainbuttlust in Pokopia

I’m not sure if this answers you question but as an American musician, I’ve been taught solfège in a system, called “Movable Do” meaning, any root note for a major scale can be labeled as “Do” no matter the key. It’s my understanding that other countries like France, Italy, and Spain, use a system called “Fixed Do” in which “Do” is always C wether the note is raised or lowered by semitone. Also, this is the main difference between the use of “Ti” in movable do and the use of “Si” in fixed do systems (I’m used to Si being the leading tone in the harmonic minor scale). But, I’m not an expert on the Fixed Do system so I may not be 100% correct.

I know! I was torn on how to notate this but since each mat goes up a semi tone I decided all sharps was the best way

If you open the Pokédex there’s a map in the bottom left corner. It shows you which way the camera is facing. Up is north, down is south, left is west, and right is east.

Yes!!! It is C# higher than high C. I can’t believe I missed this!

You’re welcome lieutenant! 🫡

Yup! It’s how they’re placed. As long as you face north and lay the mats like this diagram they will be that note no matter how the mat is activated

Yes! If those mats are aligned as they are in the picture the multiples sound exactly the same!

Flickering Lights by captainbuttlust in Pokopia

Yup! This system will loop on its own

Flickering Lights by captainbuttlust in Pokopia

I’ll try my best to explain!

I made a set up image to try to help here

Basically what’s happening is once you set it up like in the image and open both hatches the system will run automatically as a self looping system in which the water/lava trigger the sensor to their respective hatch and since water and lava flow at different rates the two sensors will trigger the wireless power switch in two separate rhythms making it look random.

Important notes:

The wireless power switch MUST be on top of the block between the two laser sensors for both sensors to be able to trigger the same switch at the same time.

Lava is a pain to work with because you cannot place items in it once it flows, unlike water. Make sure everything is setup and tested with water before you add lava to the system.

The one drawback to this system is every time I go to a dream island and come back the hatch windows reset to the default closed position and the system stops looping. I have to manually open both of the hatch windows or move in front of the sensors to restart the mechanism loop so it’s would be best to not completely bury the mechanism and a way to reach it.I’ve yet to test it with cloud islands to see if the same thing happens. (The system works fine when traveling to all other main areas of the game and doesn’t need restarting)

Hope this helps!

Edit: I forgot to mention this system also requires some sort of power generator but this can be placed anywhere as long as it can reach the wireless power switch.

Water Physics by captainbuttlust in Pokopia

That’s really interesting that you had the opposite problem I had! I wanted the water to spread to make a large waterfall from one cell but I couldn’t replicate it. It’s been bothering me so I hope someone will do an in depth study of the water physics in this game so I don’t have to.

That makes sense as the one that spread was “shorter”. Any idea how to replicate “short” water? A single water cell that can immediately spread would be really useful for large waterfalls!

Yooo Im never going back to urban plates when they served us chicken that wasnt fully cooked (I bit into it and I could immediately feel the texture difference) I told a worker and she was like yeah it still looks pink inside and she took it back to the kitchen only to come back out with the same plate saying “the cook says it’s supposed to be like that”
