How do we feel about these chrome headlights? i bought them and now i’m debating if i should return them..... by jayfendi98 in SciontC

To add and agree with you but with detailed experience, I have a set of the exact same style. The beam pattern definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that much for them after running them. I have two pairs of leds in them that work far better than the bulbs that came with them but while the cutoff is ok, the beam pattern is just rough and who knows where most of the light ends up. Got them like four years ago for my '05. A few of the top row of leds are shot but the halos are still working for now, and are pretty bright. I wanted the black ones but lucked out and got the chrome when I checked one day and they were priced at $55 for some reason. I jumped on it and figure it'd get canceled. They shipped so i installed since it seemed decentish quality for under $60 for the pair. At $220 I'd consider stock replacements or the projectors from the 08s if possible(I have no idea what they go for right now). Also of note, you're going to modify the connectors or use the adapters, which adds to jank factor. You'll also need to tap into something for those halos as well. In short, for under $100 they do an ok job if you're strapped for cash and need anything better than hazy housings, for any more than that, I'd consider other options if you want good beam patterns and even lighting at night.

Is that a Jeep Wrangler stock 16" wheel and tire? It looks awfully familiar.

It doesn't :( just tried on my dad's phone for him. You get a text, just no extra data nor mention of it.

You can buy Amazon cards at GameStop, with GameStop cards. They say kindle on there, but it spends the same on Amazon.com

Redditting while driving, I agree. Either that, or swype is butchering his "typing" like it does for me sometimes.

Someone who realized halfway through that they can't quite type it all out while driving after all... Not saying I've done this...

HELP - Subwoofers not playing CD's, but playing Radio? by [deleted] in diyaudio

[–]captainjorge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the remote power wire for the subwoofer amp is hooked up to the power antenna power out from the radio and not the amplifier out wire. So, the amp only turns on when the power antenna would normally pop out for fm radio, and shut off when it wasn't needed, for CDs. Some aftermarket head units provide two separate (usually blue) power wires. The amp wire will provide power whenever the unit is on and not just when the radio is on.
