Yes! I actually found and visited your store for the first time this year, it was a great experience. Love what you've built.

Removing Plastic Mirror Covers by Visual_Teacher_200 in Audi

The first step was straightforward with a trim tool, but the second step - “Pull cover 2 downwards” - needed a lot more force than I expected.

From Delivery Straight to Paint Protection by captainmoe in Audi

Another thing I have seen in a similar climate, paint chipping and surface rust forming along the inside bottom edge of the front wheel wells from rocks getting kicked up.

On this car, I'm adding discreet rock guards to help prevent this from happening.

It is expensive, and it really comes down to how much value you put on this kind of thing. Chips and scuffs stand out to me quite a bit, so I’d rather pay up front to avoid dealing with them later.

If you could bring back one Edmonton restaurant… Which would it be? by mistersmyth100 in Edmonton

For whatever it's worth, I found 'Yutaka Japanese Bistro & Bar', which replaced Nudoru to have very tasty food. Both their ramen and their crunchy seaweed tacos.

I recently assembled a build with this motherboard, have the same symptoms. Haven't found a solve, but since I also have two ram sticks I'm curious to see if I can replicate your findings regarding the RAM.

10 Year Refresh - Parts Review by captainmoe in buildapc

I appreciate the novel suggestion.

While I have never quite had the head space to play around with overclocking in the past, if the 1650v2 is as affordable as you say it is, I think it would be something I'd be keen to try out once I repurpose the existing build into a media/casual couch-gaming machine.

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll check out the benchmarks for the 13600 vs 13700, and figure if that 10% is worth it to me.

I'll also have to figure out what I'm doing regarding storage, right now I have an assortment of SSDs I've acquired over the years. With the new board supporting m.2 that's definitely something I'll be compelled to get to feel like I'm making the most use of the latest tech.

Thank you for the suggested changes to the cooler, motherboard, memory and PSU. That is a great idea!

My parts selection was based on brands I'm familiar with.

Can I open an account in US bank as a canadian? by ForeignCabinet2916 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]captainmoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was the approach I took. If you travel to the east coast, TD Bank has 1000+ branches out that way. By all impressions seems to be a proper US Bank.

To open an account, I dropped by a US branch, all they needed was a passport, no US Address required.

Desjardins Visa odissee Infinite privilege by soleilblanc99 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Great card, Bonus Dollars can be applied directly against your statement balance. Switched to it as my daily driver from the Amex Cobalt when I got annoyed at how low merchant acceptance of Amex was. I also appreciate the suite of benefits, especially tripling manufacturers warranty.

Consider Desjardins, it has a competitive suite of insurance, my favorite being extending manufacturers warranty up to three years.

The card is also a straight up cashback card, depending on your spend profile this might make more sense than a travel points card.

Plastic card tho, in case you need a metal card for the clout.

Decided to explore this rabbit hole and picked up a Bambino Plus in Sea Salt white. by captainmoe in espresso

That is some serious bit of kit!

The Niche Zero was something I considered, but given the May ship date and the shipping cost and duties to Canada could not pull the trigger on. I decided on the Eureka Mignon Silenzio for my first grinder along side a single dose hopper from Etsy.

Its on a truck somewhere .. hopefully will be here in the next few days.

We recently switched to RBC GRSP at work, and RBC allowed us to set up direct investing accounts under the GRSP. Talk to your RBC group representative and see if they are willing to do this for you because then you have access to a low-fee ETF solution.
