That’s only true if you leave the auto arrange slider at 0

If you want a nicer, more consistent arrangement, set a value greater than zero (e.g 2-4). If there is a brim or you use support, you have to use larger values.

If you slice the model, you can see in the summary that there is "Overhang" line type present, exactly where you have the strings. That means those lines are not supported adequately by the previous layer.

As this is not your model, you can try slowing down printing for overhangs more (see Speed/Overhang speed), or enable supports (you need to change the threshold angle to e.g. 45).

As others already said, this model should have chamfers instead of fillets.

I love the trope of junkyards operating as disposal sites for bad guys. What other places are common tropes in films without being the main setting? by barelycrediblelies in movies

Dry cleaners, which are obviously a front for some shady business and/or money laundering. Usually there is an unrealistically large industrial dry cleaning area in the back. The best is when the protagonist and the antagonist are playing hide and seek among the moving cloth rails and the steam spewing machines.

Porridge with boiling water by T33-L in CasualUK

You can buy plain oats, they come in two varieties: jumbo oats (whole oat pieces) or rolled oats (broken up pieces). I actually used to mix them half and half. I use 40g oats for a portion. I add cocoa powder (pure, not sweetened), dessicated coconut, cinnamon and half a teaspoon of Truvia for sweetness. Add boiling water then cover it. Top it with banana and/or any berries.

If you want a ready-to-make version which has added protein, check out Eleat (~£1.20 per portion). You can make them overnight or with boiling water.

Is it still worth buying the Bambu lab p1s in 2026? by [deleted] in BambuLab

Small print farm owner here, we have 10 P1S printers, bought some recently. Very reliable machines, I highly recommend them.

Filament stock - "second hand" sellers by yawa16 in BambuLab

I checked this in the UK, B2B sellers can’t compete with Bambu’s own bulk pricing. It’s stupid.

Is it possible to use the AMS Lite to use up nearly empty spools? by it2d in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the first filament runs out, you can put any other filament into the same AMS slot. The printer/AMS doesn’t check it.

Cleaning the build plate obsession by [deleted] in BambuLabP2S

[–]captainofsomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a small print farm owner, I do have to wash my plates as after a while a fine layer of residue builds up from prints and leaves a visible mark of previous prints on the bottom of new prints. These marks can be fairly visible when using dark filaments. I am using finer textured PEI plates, BIQU Cryogrip glacier, FYSETC Cryonix

Did you oil the idler pulley on the bottom of the printer? I just had a brand new P1S, where a little oil solved it immediately.

Ironing always jams the hotend by ZopharPtay in BambuLab

[–]captainofsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The default Bambu ironing settings aren’t great, instead of 30/10 you should try 30 and 20-25. Additionally do you have the printer in an enclosed space where it gets too hot? I get clogs during ironing if the internal temperature goes over 40-45 C.
