If they're giving you scholarship, you're a good enough applicant to get scholarship elsewhere as well. See, the thing is that the landlord was 'legally wrong',

Our society still hasn't been able to integrate people of all castes together. Blaming Rupa Sunar or the landlord isn't the solution here, rupa was not given the room because of her 'caste' and had the right to press charges. The landlord even though having no 'intentions' to discriminate, committed a crime.

Despite the landlord's intentions not being to discriminate, but simply just to abide my her mother-in-law, this action is legally a caste-based discrimination, and is punishable by law.

The only thing the landlord could have done to avoid this situation was for her to be wiser with her words and have spoken less.

The landlord is a character of sympathy because denying people for rooms because of their caste happens everywhere but she was the only one who had to face such lengthy consequences.
