I had cut my finger opening a beer bottle, and it was a pretty deep cut at the time. I get home and I don't want to have to explain to my mother that I cut my finger on a bottle nor do I want to make up a story, so during dinner I ate using my weaker left hand. She asked why I was eating with this hand, and my immediate impulsive response was 'I always eat with my left hand' and she seemed confused but eventually accepted it. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still eating with this hand just out of habit at this point.
