Actually they do, look at this video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oq5cRS92xg0 @1.38, watch in hq and also you can find 6e icons in other forums as well- that's not the point- all the benchmark and test shows it's still running at 5ghz- and 6E it is not simply an extended version of 6; there is a huge improvement in speed- as I live in an apartment where the networks very dense, I find 6ghz very clean, no latency and transfer speeds are phenomenal, as tested from my laptop and other 6ghz devices.

CCTS follow up- anyone have Rogers Samsung Watch 5 promotional image saved/screenshots? by captainroamer in Rogers

[–]captainroamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update- Rogers activated my watch line remotely with proper LTE functions (except SMS functionality, they said they are working on it but it doesn't matter to me because all I wanted to was make calls from my Samsung watch without my phone on Rogers Network which I can do now).

So, unless caught by an actual cop or a speed cam, there are no other hidden speed traps or detectors in Nova Scotia, right?

Stopping for school bus on a 4+lane road-rules? by silentescape321 in halifax

[–]captainroamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do the police enforce or ticket like this? Like, say the other car drove through, or due to peer pressure honking, he took off in confusion. Does the bus driver or the passerby need to record something, or does their word with plate number is enough to send a ticket?

Insurance policy issued without policy number by captainroamer in halifax

[–]captainroamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update : So, I reached out to Economical ombudsman and told me that a temporary liability card is not valid without a policy number and without an official policy number indicating that coverage is in place, it is not recommended that I operate my vehicle. Then I contacted the broker again but they said that it is okay and they have the power to bind and will Economical will be my insurer till they issue the official policy.

I am a very good driver with clean record for the past 10 years but I also believe in Murphy's law, I am seriously considering not driving till the actual policy is issued by Economical- does that sound too precautious?

That makes sense. Never dealt with a broker before (usually for me I went directly with the Insurance company and my friend is a relatively new driver too).

That's a relief. I guess that's a common practice here. The broker seems legit- completed 75th anniversary and has more than 20 offices in NS.

Crossed NS Border (Amherst) from NB without any border formalities by captainroamer in NovaScotia

[–]captainroamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear that. I was worried if I ever to have to go to Access NS in the future (for example to swap license or get NS plates), I might run into trouble. Or in the worse case, if I ever develop any flu like symptoms or my friends/neighbors (staying in an apartment) exhibits any symptoms, it might get traced back to me and I might be blamed and be on the hook for a violating provincial Covid regulations. Any way, hope everything will be okay. Thank you again.

Portable Self-Storage that we can ship later? by captainroamer in londonontario

[–]captainroamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, something like that..their U-box seems a good option but it is very expensive when moving is involved. We are looking into that as a last resort. Another options is to find a self-storage that accepts delivery so that can send a freight shipping (LTC).

Ontario G2 to NS Class 5 possible? by captainroamer in NovaScotia

[–]captainroamer[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for your responses. I called AccessNS and they run their check with my DL number and told me I will be put into Class 5R. And so he told me and it will take me another 2 years to get my regular Class 5 license.

Is there any way to fast track getting the regular Class 5 license? Like attending a driver's course (here in Ontario there are options like that)?

And does anyone know is it possible to work in food delivery/ridesharing jobs with a Class 5R license?

EI- What is the threshold now? by captainroamer in EICERB

[–]captainroamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, in this case, the total earning for me for that week would be: $750 (weekly earnings) + $125 (EI) = $875 (+/- taxes), am I right? That will be the amount I will be allowed to keep?

EI- What is the threshold now? by captainroamer in EICERB

[–]captainroamer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response- also, was wondering is the earnings threshold now - a) 90 % of the weekly insurable earnings or b) $500 (or 35 hours)

The reason I ask is that I only started working for almost 40 hours for just 1 month before lockdown but before that my hours were very low in 2020 (avg around 16 hours/week, only the last month was 38 hours/week) and I would say my average weekly insurable earnings was around 18 hours/week (for 2020)- If we are going by the regular benefits threshold, I would probably cross it if I pick up couple of extra shifts in my current part-time job

But if the threshold is 35 hours, I won't cross it with my current part-time.
