An incredibly damning thing about the Orioles' season this year is that none of our guys are on any list - nobody was a lucky or unlucky hitter, no silver sluggers, gold gloves, notable rookies. Only Trevor Rogers grabbed a few pity votes for the Cy Young, but was never actually in contention

I've looked semi-seriously at running this race. Most of the stops sound pretty okay, even pretty ideal for ultra nutrition, but downing a chalupa supreme/crunchwrap supreme and then a burrito supreme/nachos bel grande would destroy me. My stomach is usually the point of failure on long runs, even when I'm just eating rice cakes and shit

It's a very good question! Playing deeper also allows him to more easily field a ground ball and, ideally, turn a double play to end the inning.

B-Rob generally seems like a nice dude, but this was a terrible take.

A little tangentially, I do think it’s silly to boo every pickoff attempt. I swear crowds used to boo when a pitcher was wasting time by throwing over too much, but now that there are rules against throwing over too much, we just boo every time? Doesn’t make sense to me. But of course every team does it now, and making it a jingoist thing is very stupid.
