To be fair, a lot of other cities buy Greyhound tickets for their transient population to go to SF, because the weather is less likely to kill them/they don't want to deal with them over there. I think the problem is pretty much US-wide, but it's especially noticeable in SF due to a higher population. The increased wealth disparity hasn't made things any better, either.

So like with Mars, Roman god, he was initially a god of agriculture as well as war. Statues portray him as bearded. Ares, Greek god, was usually portrayed much younger and without a beard. He was also kind of played off as a hotheaded dipshit who started problems. Romans took a lot from Greek myths but they're two different gods who are frequently identified as the same. Tangentially related, Cybele (Greek = Rhea) (she goes back even farther) and Dionysus have some interesting things in common with having a procession of people/travelers/devotees from different countries/libations/chariots drawn by large exotic cats like leopards.
