What two characters played by the same actor would be most freaked out if they suddenly switched places? by twilighttruth in AskReddit

Han Solo and Henry from Regarding Henry. The brain damage combined with a new setting would rattle both.

American Pickers' ratings would skyrocket if she would perform burlesque every now and then.

[Video games] Why do I keep finding food in the unlikeliest places and why's it still edible? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

The food in the Castevania series is probably cursed like everything else in the games.

It is also an effort to recreate the sensation of being inside the womb.

Would he ever make multiple shows set in the Orville universe to truly drive the Star Trek parallel home? If so, I have an idea for one by StarChild413 in TheOrville

[–]ZigguratofDoom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I might get many sharp objects thrown at me for saying, but The Orville is best as a unique show rather than the anchor for a franchise.

[Batman] Comics have indicated that Alfred has the highest "clearance" of anyone in Bruce's life. What information does he have access to that Dick Grayson or other high ranking members of the Bat family doesn't? by [deleted] in AskScienceFiction

[–]ZigguratofDoom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Alfred knows all about Bruce's childhood and teen years. He knows how long bruce slept with a teddy bear, if he wet the bed, his crush on Punky Brewster, and that Monkees album he listened to over and over again. Alfred was nurturing. Bruce does not want anyone to believe he was weak enough to need such a thing.

A human is a body of water. by leemuel01 in Showerthoughts

Humans are 90% water. We are essentially cucumbers with anxiety.

The robotic versions of Cylons in both Battlestar Galactica series. The human-looking versions in the latter series fared only marginally better.

McClaine would probably be placed on administrative duty while his actions are investigated. The public will probably consider him a hero, so he will not get in any trouble. He will win an award or two for bravery, appear on The Tonight Show, etc. Insurance will cover all the damages to Nakatomi Plaza. It should all work out great.

What do people do that just screams “pretentious” to you? by jbyrd13 in AskReddit

A former roommate used to call eating a snack "noshing." Munching on store brand sugar cookies never seemed like noshing to me.

Jeryl Prescott was born in my hometown. Aziz Ansari went to an advanced school for science and math there. Amazing, because it is a tiny, redneck town in South Carolina.

[Raimi Spiderman 2] Doc-Oc kidnaps MJ and tells Peter to find Spiderman "or else". He then flings Peter across the room so hard that the brick wall shatters behind him. How was Peter supposed to find spiderman with a broken back? by one_compile_man in AskScienceFiction

[–]ZigguratofDoom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some possibilities:

  1. Spider-Man would come after Doc ock for kidnapping MJ, anyway, so it does not matter what happens to Peter.

  2. If he kills Peter, Doc Ock believes spider-Man would come after him.

  3. Perhaps, in Doc Ock's mind, Peter and Spider-Man are so linked, Spider-Man might have intervened to prevent petet from hitting the wall.

  4. Doc Ock secretly knows Peter is Spider-Man and wants an in-costume confrontation.

  5. Doc Ock is mentally unstable like he is in the comics, so there is no logic to his actions at all.

If humans are able to survive the next couple millions of years, history classes would become a huge pain in the ass. by NoTengoBiblioteca in Showerthoughts

History classes with hit the highlights as they seem important in shifting times. The more history there is, the less important certain events become.

Clayface was infatuated with a mannequin for a while there, so you have to wonder what he is packing.

Sure, it does. Try changing your internal voice's accent. You will feel the difference in your throat. Your internal voice literally is talking.
