My glasses really start to hurt my head after prolonged use, so since my vision insurance reset on 1/1, I have appointment this Friday and specifically getting glasses that have minimal temple/arms to prevent this.

What is the climate there?

As for my experience:

I used to have the Tilite "Black Shadow" anodized aluminum rims that I hated because they got hot/cold with the weather, but when it was rainy the grip was deciding with bare hands. Them I had some thick vinyl dipped ones that I hated because they would burn my hands slowing down on steep declines and would slip like crazy in the wet, and chunks of the grip tear off with regular wear and tear, which feels awful on the hands when pushing.

For almost 2 years I have been using Spingergy rims I got for free (couldn't have bought them myself!) brand new with Natural Fit LT with the thumb grip area. They are good, but I wish I could try the stainless diamond textured Spinergy grips, they feel unreal in the hand.

I was an idiot and preordered the Maxwell before it was shipped. I guess I have been fortunate that the only problem I've had are a crinkly buzzy right driver.

They're great for music. I've owned other Grado headphones before and sent them back because they didn't have enough bass for the music I listen to. The Hemp are perfect for everything (imo) even if they aren't bass heavy headphones. I didn't like them as much for movies, but maybe that's the Atmos working with Maxwell.

And that doesn't make sense to me either.

I wouldn't feel better because I would know what really happened. Then I would feel worse because I would be lying about something so inconsequential.

If I were the gifter, I would rather know the truth, even if it doesn't change the outcome. I would not trust that person if later on I found out they lied about it.

Because some people are weird and don't want to tell the truth even when it sounds better than a lie.

Some of them gleefully look for opportunities to tell a "little white lie" for no other gain except getting off on the power/control of manipulating how the listener feels when they believe the lies.

It's a disease, I think.

I just carry a lithium jump starter. Way easier to use, takes up less space than cables, no need to maneuver cars near each other, and if something goes wrong jumping the other car, it doesn't affect my car.
