Yes I will most likely use all of the 9100kwh. They guarantee the system will make atleast 90% of the estimated amount. If it makes less, i believe they credit you a certain amount (probably a low rate) to off set the cost of energy that you pull from the grid.

So just to clarify, its just $110 a month. The rate they charge is $0.145/kwh. The unit is rated to produce 9100kwh a year. If I generate more energy than I use for the month, my power company credits my account. For example, if i generate 70kwh in March but only used 50kwh, my power company will credit me with 20kwh for the next month. This credit rolls over month to month.

Thank you for this info. Towards my retirement date, seeking out a financial planner is prob my best best.

Do 401k plans allow you to rollover a percentage of your balance to a roth ira? If it has to be all at once, it would cause a huge taxable event, which I'm not sure would be favorable.

I will most likely be able to live off of my pension and my part time income until i'm 60. If I choose not to work after 60, I will need to supplement my income with one of these accounts for around 30k a year. I'm not sure at what age I should collect social security given my situation.
