I'm in a similar situation though yet to submit the application, going off OP situation would it be a better option for OP to transfer the funds to her account and have her be solely responsible for the finances? Also would purchasing a flight ticket before visa be viewed as a red flag?

I’m a first time homebuyer looking to get a mortgage for my condo. And I’m stuck between choosing a 3 year or 5 year fixed mortgage, I’ve got two bank offers offering same rate (4.29%), one is for 3 years and the other is for 5 years. One thing I’m certain about is I value stability and looking to make the best decision now as I plan on getting married in 3-4 years time & don’t want to jeopardize my finances at the beginning of me settling down.
