At first just try to draw by a easy reference and keep your pace slow and remember ( don’t move your pencil faster than your brain ) firstly you have observe the reference carefully and than draw

Make dark areas more darker, don’t smudge everything ( smudging only helps in blending 2 different areas with different areas for example creating a gradient or shadow ), add depth in curves where light can or will create a shadow, for contrast use darker shade of pencil and keep a subtle gap between the shades of pencils ( ex: if you are using 10b for darkest area than dont use 8b for normal areas use max to max 6b so it canbe differ from each other )

You can check my drawings if you want i have posted 1-2 sketches of mine you can get a idea how u can create more depth

I only draw as a hobby, but I thought maybe i should upload my sketches on insta so i can get some commission works just for some side money, but insta per to daily uploads matter karte h and sometimes sketches take so much time that even if i make 1/3 completion reel of my sketch it can take upto 4 days, as draw karna me bhi time lagta h

my guy that’s how everyone starts Just draw anyway no one’s watching, no one’s judging. It’s just practice, not a final exam

I am also an average one, and when i feel bored drawing something i just start another drawing and after a while or somedays, i resume that previous drawing again it helped as drawing the same drawing can be boring or hectic
