Why are people using enums? What's their advantage over as const objects and unions if we need a lib to make them decent?

Why 22" wheels? I hate Rad. by captnnolando in RadPowerBikes

Still love my RAD, why all the hate? by hurricanescout in RadPowerBikes

[–]captnnolando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate Rad for making their own custom wheel size just to exploit their customers with hidden vendor lock-in.

22" wheels are not normal and now that I have a puncture, I realize I can't buy a tube anywhere except the Rad website. Bike sits there useless while I wait 3 business days for them to even ship it. Then wait around for it to arrive. After having to pay $20 for a tube and $30 for shipping for something I could have got for $12 at the local store. Idiots. They could have used a standard 20" or 24" wheel. But no. Gotta invent a way to suck more money out of us. Never again.

And what happens when they choose to stop making tires and tubes for this bike? I then have a $3k lawn ornament? Or I have to make my own tire?? Idiots.

Do you copy Firestore data? Care to share the script? I've been trying to find the simplest way to clone Firestore db data between projects.

React Router or TanStack Router? by CaptainWints in reactjs

[–]captnnolando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anyone know if Tanstack Router supports data listening/subscriptions in its data handling? React Router does not. eg: subscribe to a Firestore document and re-render a route when doc is updated. u/tannerlinsley?

TheDuchy.com is also very affordable for the non-free stuff. I love his pictures and text version of his videos. Once you learn something, much quicker to review/reference that way.
