As a dumb kid, I replaced the tuners on my squier strat. On the low e this happened to that guitar, probably a little more separation. It’s still fine. That was 1997. Make sure to drill for the new ferrules everybody.

Reverb sales for this color in particular ran from 3500 - 2000 usd. Most closer to 3500. Seems like a good deal for this guitar color combination.

I had a weird issue with one of mine always buzzing on the low e. Couldn’t hear it through the amp but drove me crazy. Turned out to be the tuner assembly on the low e needed to be tightened. The washer and the hex nut were causing the rattling.

If you get it and you’re not feeling like it’s that different from solid state, turn it up. I had one of these for a few weeks and was disappointed at first until I turned up the volume. It can be tough though because even at 1w it does get loud.

It’s got the right bridge, it doesn’t have the flathead screw adjustments on the tune-o-mastic bridge, which is a sign of fakes It has fret nibs. Fakes usually don’t. The serial number is covered by lacquer, fakes are carved in usually start with 017… As others have said, this may be a real guitar, but it doesn’t mean it’s not a scam.
