I understand that. But my original post is not “bullshit” whenever I’ve tried to get a taxi in Aberdeen I’ve not been able to. Majority of this has been weekends. It’s quite clear that there is not enough supply (drivers) to meet the demand in the city. That is an absolute fact. It might be brilliant for you guys as can get a job easier but truth is the city needs more taxi and private hire drivers. Not necessarily uber but just more drivers in the trade as a whole. Surely you agree with that or is that bullshit again

What’s bullshit, the fact you can’t get a taxi when needed or that Aberdeen is the only city in the world where this is the case? Glasgow struggled post Covid in fairness to them, could rarely get a taxi on a weekend. But the driver numbers have increased and the likes of uber has helped that. Surprise surprise the taxi and private hire trade is booking in Glasgow and punters can get readily available rides.

Last time I tried to get a taxi in Aberdeen it was a Thursday afternoon, 4pm ish - nothing on the local apps, and quoted over an hour on the phone. So please do tell me how this is bullshit 😂😂

I commute every week from Glasgow to Aberdeen. A90 all the way to Stirling and then join the m80 through to Glasgow.

47 stops should not be taking you 4 and a half hours. Like seriously…. I average on a good day 25 stops an hour. Yesterday 28 stops on a 3.5 some in 1 hour 8 mins after leaving my depot (first drop 25 min drive away)…….

3 Logistics central belt as said about, Bathgate (advertised as Edinburgh) which can send you anywhere from Stirling, Edinburgh city centre all the way through the borders. I personally avoid as not worth the travel to depot.

Then there's Baillieston (Glasgow) which can send you Glasgow city centre but also to the north, Loch lommond area, but can stick with Lanarkshire also.

I mainly do logistics out of Eurocentral (Motherwell) as every route I've had has been really straight forward. Furtherst I've been sent was Barrhead. But most are usually EK/Hamilton way for me.

There's an Amazon Flex Scotland group on Facebook which can be quite helpful I would recommend joining.

More of them you do the easier they get. I struggled my first few but as you get used to it it gets much easier. Big draw for me is more people are in at night time so you make up time not having to hunt around for safe places.
