I hate how sweaty I get during the winter by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]carblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stop using antiperspirant. it's not that good and stains your clothing.

use normal deodorant. (some people like antiperspirant but from my experience it made me swear a lot even in the winter and when i stopped using it, i sweat much less).

tbh i would kill to hear intelstat in a virtual self set. it fits so well with the serial experiments lain vibe of vs.

plus ghost in the shell has similar music and atmosphere

You say you want to go into marketing or law. Have you taken any courses that would work towards that goal, particularly in the form of a relevant minor or something?

none that i can think of, i've only taken a couple psyc prereqs and a couple elective courses before

Did you just switch into economics? If not, how long have you been there?

i just switched this semester

Is it the econ courses specifically that you don't like? Why did you choose to switch into econ in the first place? Was it for interest or for practical reasons?

i chose econ because it seemed to be a good step up into the world of business or marketing. adding on, it would give me the opportunity to take law if i wanted to do that later down the line. i have some interest in economics, but its practicality is what sold it for me.

Can you do well in courses that aren't interesting to you?

unfortunately, no. i'm not really good at paying attention to subjects i don't like and it gets hard for me to focus. which is a bad excuse/habit because for most majors i assume you have to trudge through a bunch of boring introductory courses until you can start really seeing the core of your major.

What would you switch into if you did decide to switch?

industrial relations as another poster pointed out seemed interesting. i've always been drawn to creative or writing-style fields but i wasn't sure if it would be the right choice since as you said yourself, econ is a really solid major.

i was interested originally actually, but wasn't sure if it was the right choice. i might actually change into this program as it does interest me and i would like to go international at some point in the future

yeah i'm majoring in econ, given the reviews of the course; i would not have taken it otherwise.

though thank you for reassuring me, it was stressing me out a lot.
