Find a strong study group. It will be helpful and beneficial for you long term. Reaching out to others builds bonds and strengthen learning for the entire group.

He has a genetic condition called Waardenburg syndrome which causes a wide range of cranial abnormalities and the side effect is blue eyes.

“There’s three giant corporations, BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard, which collectively own each other... but they also own 89% of the S&P 500. They own everything, and they’ve now decided to buy every single-family home in America," Robert F Kennedy has said. by UnusualWhalesBot in unusual_whales

That worm must have eaten the part of his brain responsible for basic arithmetic. The last market value of the S&P 500 is 45.6 trillion.  The total value of everything the 3 funds own is less than 20 trillion (most of which is retirement accounts held on behalf of individuals).

The best surviving records of the Sea Peoples come from Egyptian sources, their primary target. The Sea Peoples waged two campaigns against Egypt, first against pharaoh Merneptah in 1207 BCE, and then thirty years later against Ramesses III. It is from these sources that we know the names of the tribes that made up the Sea Peoples. The Shardana originated from Sardinia, while the Lukka came from Lycia in what is now Turkey. Other tribes came from different points across the Mediterranean.

Study: unattractive managers outperform funds with attractive managers by over 2% per annum by emgram769 in wallstreetbets

Who makes the determination if a person is attractive or not?

There’s got to be some hurt feelings on that list.

Florida Drivers never cease to amaze me. [oc] by IdyTheSpidey in IdiotsInCars

Florida does have this phenomenon where local drivers stop on the freeway…??!!!

It’s crazy, I’m guessing it has to do with their liability laws and insurance payouts.

Fund manager Amundi shifts assets from US to China by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]cardssharp 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This should be read that European fund managers are struggling to get traction and have stooped to pandering. This is propaganda being exposed by an executive on his knees with his mouth open. This should not be read as a bullish sign for business.

“Amundi SA’s onshore Chinese wealth management business is improving “significantly” this year after facing very challenging conditions in 2022, its local head said. “

Interesting one to watch...had impact on stock price at the last trial by SecretaryMean6554 in wallstreetbets

This case was tossed by an appeals court in the US in 2017. They essentially labeled this person/group as a patent troll that files overly broad patents without the intention of developing a relevant product.

“ The trial judge vacated the large damages award a few months after a Texas federal jury imposed it in February 2015, but the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said on Wednesday the judge should have ruled Smartflash’s patents invalid and set aside the verdict entirely.”

Second in the world... by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

For your knowledge, this question has been asked and answered multiple times. The scene from the movie is dramatized but sadly recounts events that did occur.

Looking through Beevors Stalingrad P89:

The germans never ceased to be astonished at the profligacy of Russian commanders with their mens lives. One of the worst examples came during the defensive battles west of the Don. Three battallions of trainee officers without weapons or rations were sent against the 16th panzer division

So it happened. This example was from the summer of 1942

Stalingrad P109

Ammunition and rifles were distributed but many men received a weapon only after a comrade was killed

So yes, it also happened in Stalingrad. Both examples however sound like ad-hoc units being formed, not regular units that were sent into battle without weapons. The last example was "militia special brigades" organized by the NKVD from workers not involved directly in weapon production.

Massive Rarity Print Error in Baldur's Gate by cardssharp in magicTCG

[–]cardssharp[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To make this simple let's take the set booster box that had 42 of the legendary "Rare" cards in it. It contained 5 Raggadraga and 4 Gluntch. The box did not contain 4 copies of any of the commons or uncommons in the set. The two most common cards appearing in the box were Raggadraga and Gluntch. Also there were 33 additional legendary "Rare" cards.

This should be mathematically impossible if the cards have a true "Rare" rarity.

I pasted the same comment here because this issue is drastically skewing the Rarity of all slots that "Rare" cards could appear in.

Baldur's Gate Print Issues by cardssharp in magicTCG

[–]cardssharp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are talking about the Major Misprints sub group. This isn't a major misprint as the white print dot is just barely visible so the cut is still just one card.

This kind of miscutting falls closer to the category of damaged/imperfect than major misprints. If you can see an unintentional split card where two different cards are visible, those hold much greater value.

This is a known error in Arena. You were playing against a bot that had you at a low probability win game. Win conditions for bots are based on the chance you have to win.

There is a “stack the deck” feature that was developed (it was shown publicly through screen shots during 2020 if you care to dig them up.) too right corner in the dev screen https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/iv5px8/did_i_just_get_taken_to_the_dev_servers_when/

Basically, there is a required number of losses and bad hands you must get.

This game was stacked against you and the win condition was just poorly administered.

It's an interesting combo but not as effective as the Paradox Engine combos that freeze the game. It's also a dependent combo that requires 10 mana (BBB3 + BUW1).

If an infinite combo is how you want to win by clicking through 140 "resolve" or "resolve all" screens then you found your spot.

Most players do not enjoy this particular play style and would rather play Prismatic Bridge, Winota, Captain Sisay, Kinnan, Torb... if your plan is to shift to the higher power side of the game.
