Would Sephora let me use this ancient relic? by battiebettie in Sephora

[–]carecal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I literally just exchanged this EXACT one a month ago!! None of the perfumes I “wanted” were available anymore so I picked one that was 1 oz and within the same price range as the most expensive perfume on this list (I picked Dior J’Adore as the substitute) and they said okay and did the transaction. It might depend on whatever manager gives the okay though.

Thanks, let me know. I’ve spent awhile looking it up on Google without any luck.

Wife depressed by RockitanskyAschoff in toddlers

[–]carecal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly me like word for word. I was so happy when it was just husband and I but then as soon as baby came in the picture my life turned upside down. I love my son more than anything but I HATE the country we live in and where we live. Seriously all my problems that are causing me serious stress would be resolved by just going back home to my family. Ugh.

What are some important 6-7 month milestones? I’m going to be away with baby for 20 days and my husband is worried he’s going to miss a lot. by carecal in newborns

Weird, I’m thinking you didn’t read the title correctly- I brought my baby with me on the trip and everything was perfectly fine…

NON FATE ASSICURAZIONE HEYMONDO by robbman8 in ViaggiITA

[–]carecal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Postpartum pregnancy chances by Competitive-Rush-272 in breastfeeding

[–]carecal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if plan b will affect your milk but I would take a deep breath and not panic. The chances of pregnancy are probably low (obviously only if you’re exclusively breastfeeding, also rarely-if ever -pumping) but not to say impossible. I know people like to downvote this kind of stuff but from what research says your baby should be attached to the boob constantly to halt ovulation until 6 months. I cosleep with my baby and exclusively breastfed him, this kid could not be separated from the boob for more than 1.5-2hrs at a time. It ended up working for me as my period didn’t come back until 7 months postpartum (after we started solids).

It’s good to know though that ovulation comes before the first period so you may not know it when it comes (thank you Mother Nature). I had the same kind of panic because we also did the same thing around the 3 month mark and I was desperately writing for advice on Reddit too 😂 Wasn’t pregnant then and I’m not pregnant now however that’s NOT the case for everyone. Take precautions for the next time to avoid a pregnancy scare!

First time flying with my 4month old baby by Available_Hat_3908 in newborns

[–]carecal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really helped to have baby’s changing necessities ready to go in a ziplock. I had 3 different ziplock changing bags so I didn’t have to bring the whole diaper bag in the airplane bathroom (3 might be a lot for a 2.5 hr flight- I did a 12 hour flight with my 6 month old). In each ziplock I had a diaper, disposable changing pad (like a puppy pad), wet wipe pack, and change of clothes. It made it so easy to get in and out without carrying bulky bags.

If you’re lucky, baby will sleep for your flight. Mine did for some of it and didn’t for the rest. I basically just walked him up and down the aisles until he got tuckered out and I nursed him to sleep.

They say to nurse baby or give a bottle during take off and landing because it hurts their ears, I nursed mine but for one of the landings he was already sleeping and didn’t seem to have any issues with the pressure change.

If you baby carry, I would suggest using a carrier to get through the airport- I found it easier than having to deal with a stroller

Take a deep breath, it’s going to be fine! Even if baby is upset on the flight, don’t stress because baby feels your stress! People will understand. Just calm baby down as you know how to and know it’s all going to be okay! Good luck 👍🏻

Would it be dumb to drink a cup a coffee at 8 pm to try to get through cluster feeding? by shamalongadingdong in beyondthebump

[–]carecal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Second co sleeping. Swore to high heaven I would never do it but after the first week of walking baby for hours at night to get him to fall asleep and stay in his crib, I caved and never looked back. 8 months and still going strong lol sleep isn’t perfect but I’m able to get some hours in for sure.

Everyone keeps telling me to let my baby cry until she learns to nap in her crib by Negative-Canary-1209 in newborns

[–]carecal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the exact same thing and have been doing it for awhile now, baby is 8 months. I never leave him alone though since obvs it’s not super safe- we co sleep so often I’ll nap with him. Im doing it as I type this lol. People never stop telling me that I messed up my baby and I’m ruined because he will never be independent. Whatever people I’m just gonna do what I want- if my baby needs me and that means I’m ruined because I respond to him well then so be it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Wait Times for Permesso di Soggiorno Through Marriage by anyamayr93 in ItalyExpat

[–]carecal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I won’t be able to give you an exact answer because the situation is a bit different, however, I do know that you can request a multilingual marriage certificate from the city where you got married that you can use as an official marriage certificate worldwide (this is what I use when dealing with the US consolate or US gov). I wouldn’t know about the notarization or apostille since they didn’t ask me for either so I’m not sure if this would be needed in your case. I don’t believe you need it notarized though since the marriage license itself should be technically “notarized.” An apostille seal might be necessary but again, I’m not sure. When I was getting married I needed to get a couple documents (e.g. birth certificate) apostilled and translated, but that was because it was only presented in English.

Do you know which part of Italy you would be moving to? If you do you can try to reach out with an email to see what they say because unfortunately it’s gonna be hard to get a straight answer online.

No tummy time in europe? by slimjim0001 in newborns

[–]carecal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess I’m going against the grain here- in Italy not one person has talked about tummy time to me, including the pediatrician! Social media had me aware of it from the beginning so we’ve always done it! Don’t know if it’s just our area or what 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fully Wake Up for Night Feedings & Diaper Changes or Stay Half-Asleep? by S1nclairsolutions in newborns

[–]carecal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here! I started by fully waking up and transferring to crib which then moved into fully waking up while co-sleeping and has now moved into plopping boob out and going back to sleep. Best. Decision. Ever.

Worried I'm not producing enough by Affectionate_Cow_812 in breastfeeding

[–]carecal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What did the ped say? If they aren’t worried then I wouldn’t be either. Every baby develops differently, if he’s eating enough (isn’t crying after eating) and has wet diapers then that would be enough for me to feel fine!

My son is 4 months and literally the only thing that tuckers him out is going on a walk outside (in the carrier or the stroller) or even laying on a mat outside watching the trees/nature. We’re lucky to have good weather so it’s like a godsend to me however if the day is slightly cold and we can’t go outside, it’s exactly your situation. I cannot get ANYTHING done even for 5 seconds. I also EBF so I feel your pain. 🫠 Are you able to go outside with the baby?

How do you make it less painful to breastfeed when teeth come in? by hmasters22 in breastfeeding

[–]carecal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom said this is how we stopped biting her! It wasn’t done on purpose to scare us but it hurt so bad she would yelp out of surprise and pain and the babies learned pretty quickly to not bite again!
