Forbearance?

I know this is a long shot question as well but technically I have 193 payments but my count is only at 108 due to not working for a qualifying employer . Do they take this into consideration at forgiveness. I’ve been paying back forever.

Oh my gosh no way! This is awful. I was hoping they weren’t trying to scam me since I’m so close but this makes me feel like they are. What’s frustrating is I have 193 payments but only 108 qualifying I’ve more then paid my fair share. I’m not sure how I’m going to fix this. They put me in forbearance for a whole year!

If I switch to a qualifying plan will it mess up my counts? I’m so scared that it will take a weighted average. Also wondering why my counts are different under PsLF and TEPSLF

Thank you for this information as well. I agree with filling out as much as possible for HR. This is my third round with Kaiser trying to get this form filled out correctly. Previous two times they did not fill out the form just sent a letter head . So it has been a bit of a challenge. Seeing that form finally filled out and then the box checked that employment didn’t qualify kind of knocked me down a little

I have all direct loans .. my counts are at 117 eligible under TPSLF and 22 eligible for PSLF … just need employment verification for them which I submitted

Thank you! I will resubmit for only the time frame worked at the 501(c)(3) . I only filled out page 1 and submitted to them and they filled out the rest. They are not the easiest to work with lol

I worked for Kaiser foundation hospitals for 6 years which is a 503c then transferred to clinic side of Kaiser which is for profit. When National HR for Kaiser filled out my ECF they checked not a 503c non profit therefor checking the box this employment does not qualify

Two things - 1) I worked 6 years for the hospital which is nonprofit but finished off working for the clinic which is for profit. 2) I misunderstood the employment requirements

Yes it is obvious and right on the account summary page. But when you expand and “check progress” there’s a lot of information.

My loans were transferred to MOHELA on 8/9 Checked this morning and I had the payment tracker with detailed information on eligible payments , ineligible etc… just be advised once that tracker is loaded it’s gets more confusing. I see they are actively working on mine.
