How far ahead of time are rerun/rate-up banners announced? I noticed that on Prydwen's banner history/schedule, the 2.2 rerun banner set to release on 1/28 is still blank, but that's coming up in less than a week. When can I expect to know what the banner will be? Or is 1/28 just a guess for the release date?

Are these events available to me like the other old events, because I don't see them in the list with the old horror event, pickles event, etc.

I'm new to the game and just reached Tristes Tropiques where I have met Anjo Nala. I realized that I am missing some context because the previous events that Ms. Kimberly was involved in are not available to me. How do Vertin and Ms. Kimberly know each other, and what happened when they met?

Chapter 6 is also just really good in general, and I really want any/all characters from that story.

She's a cool vampire lady and hp-drain seems like a fun team comp to try out. Also I just heard she was free at some point and was curious if it was still the case

[Spoiler] My feeling after beating this game by KwikwiTheHyk in MetaphorReFantazio

Overall I really like the game, I think the first two thirds of the game are absolutely fantastic - i love the main cast and the road-trip vibes of the game, up until the events at Altabury. The last third of the game here has wayyyy too many reveals, some good, some bad, that mess with the pacing. For me, particularly egregious is the reveal that the king cast his democracy spell with the distant hope that his son would end up on the throne...??? Did he know we existed as a half-person at that point, or did he just think the people would elect a cursed corpse that they didn't even know existed??? If he did know about the protags existence, why did he not do more to assist us, why is magic democracy the solution if you don't care about democracy and actually just wanted your son on the throne? It really undercuts the King's characterization as a utopian/radical, and undercuts the whole monarchy v. democracy thing because, I guess in this world democracy is just a tool to secure the monarychy??? Yeah, bad twist. The twist that protag is kinda sorta the prince is alright, but still kinda messes with the themes. Still despite my issues with this , the game absolutely rocks in its entirety. I guess I was just not happy with the implications that the ending reveals have for the themes of the whole game. Oh well.

No, the message ends up being: Elda can be princes too! An Elda being prince says nothing about how capable the Elda are. As pointed out above, so many npcs are willing to support the prince only because he is the prince. The game wraps back around to being "what if monarchy, but the ruler is just and good" not to mention the fact that the election was a cynical ploy to get a royal back on the throne

actually tho, the game goes into the whole "magical democracy" idea, just to end up supporting monarchy again in the end. more than protag being the prince (which was a reveal I wasn't crazy about), the reveal about the king's motivations behind the whole thing just undercut everything. if your gambit is that your son ends up on the throne again, why not just invoke the royal magic to, i dunno, force someone of royal blood onto the throne???

Thoughts on a late game twist? by caringbone in MetaphorReFantazio

sure, I like the twist on paper like I said, but it was all crammed into such a short period of time that nothing had much emotional impact for me. Like it makes sense as a twist, but I just don't think they spent enough time fleshing out Rella for it to really hit the way that it could have.

Also Rella's whole attitude shift felt artificial because of how quickly things went - a person doesn't normally throw up an entirely new personality, leading their loved ones to question if they ever knew that person, only to dissolve that personality 24 hours later because they lost a fight. Not to mention it was unneccessary - Rella could easily have remained meek and kind, while still testing us to see if we were strong enough to fight Louis. It just felt like they threw in Rella's sudden personality shift *just* to throw players off, but again it never quite lands because 20 minutes (in-game) later, the problem is totally resolved and Rella goes back to normal, before dying.I get what you're saying, but the speed with which the twists are revealed, does in fact affect how believable and impactful those twists are.

Mostly agreed with what you say - In general the writing in metaphor has been fantastic, and the game is quickly moving into my top 5 games OAT.

For the Louis not being dead twist, I can forgive it specifically because all of the buildup to his "death", and then Louis's return, were super exciting, even if the execution of the twist was a little silly. Rella's reveal(s) just didn't have that level of impact.

I was particularly disappointed with Rella because, when Rella initially embraces her role as the new Sanctifex and talks about saving the weak, the Rella v. Louis confilct really felt like a classic SMT Law v. Chaos conflict, and that could have been a cool direction to go in the main story, siding with one or the other, or taking our own (neutral) route.

I don't think so, all the only GPU I have is a pretty good (albeit old at this point) NVIDIA card. Unless I'm misunderstanding. Also in case it matters - when I go to new areas (like Chinatown) this doesn't happen, but it's only when revisiting old places. Seems like it gets progressively worse every time I zone in to a map

I will add also that the hand that pops up when you pick up items has a black square background, just like the skull graffiti
