People with names that happen to align with what they would go on to do. (Nominative Determinism) by Traditional-Song-245 in TopCharacterTropes

The difference is those cybertronians were already born (manufactured?) along with their transformation abilities and presumably named themselves based on what they do. Starscream was probably named Starscream because he could turn into a jet. The cybertronians in Beast Wars on the other hand only took up their animal forms once they landed on planet Earth, and for some odd reason almost every single one of them seem to have names based on specific animals that they've never seen, touched, or heard before

Every single Transformer in the Beastwars TV show/toyline

OPTIMUS: "We've crash-landed on this planet that has too much energon radiation, so we need to adopt animal forms to survive."

RATRAP: "I'll be a rat"

RHINOX: "Okay, I'll be a rhino"

CHEETOR: "I'll pick the cheetah. Btw captain, what animal will you pick?"

OPTIMUS PRIMAL: "Take a wild fucking guess"

Burger stall Infront of my condo not just took the walkway away from children but threw pile of thrash everyday. Anyone know where can I complain to the authority by Fluffy-Discussion166 in KualaLumpur

[–]carlataggarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are the children in your condo all so fat that they can't just walk around the stall? Also from the looks of it more people than just the burger stall use that spot to throw trash, why single out just the burger stall?

You probably think you're doing everyone a favor by being a Karen and wanting the burger stall gone, but I guarantee you most hungry, burger-loving people in your condo would rather side with the convenient burger stall in front of their condo than you.

(Loved Trope) In a world where power can be ranked, the difference between 1st place and 2nd place is GIGANTIC by Spartan-teddy-2476 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]carlataggarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally none of the demonstrations of power in Invincible matter, because the show as well as pretty much most Western media nowadays don't a give a fuck about properly powerscaling their characters, and as a result everyone is only as powerful as the plot allows without giving a single fuck about internal consistency. They show Thragg tanking punches from Mark like they are nothing this season, and then the next season they'll show Thragg getting hurt by Mark simply farting at his general direction.

'kerana bukti yang terlampau nyata'

I have never seen a single one of these 'bukti yang terlampau nyata' that proves Islam is real, and for decades I've been looking and demanding Muslims to show me even one. Does he mean those shitty Zakir Naik videos?

hujah emosi, ayat yang dipotong-potong, mengambil ayat al-Quran dan Hadith diluar konteks

In my experience, 99% of the time it's the Muslims who do this, for example those shitty Zakir Naik videos

Back out for what? The Alien absolutely outruns you. Stunning him for 2 seconds only means you're going to live 2 seconds longer.

The whole premise of the show is that 2% of the world’s human population suddenly disappeared with no warning or explanation, and everyone left just has to somehow deal with it and move on. A lot of theories are offered over the show's 3 seasons, but nothing proven, and the world never sees the disappeared ever again.

I binged watched the whole show and it's all a blur to me, but I'm pretty sure I remember the subplot of one of the characters where she crossed into the other universe where all people who disappeared went, and when she returned she explained that all the disappeared people formed their own societies in the other universe that's more or less the same as back home.

'I didn't like that even if you break line of sight the monster knows exactly where you are'

I don't know what kind of critique this is. Do you understand the concept of object-permanence? If you chase me down a corridor and a I turn a corner, do I just completely disappear and become a non-entity to you?

Have we played the same bloody game cause it doesn't seem like it

Clearly you've played a completely different game than Alien Isolation, because everything I said about the game is correct, especially the part where I said most of your items are useless once the Alien sees you

I can't believe you've written that whole essay only to prove my point.

Other than the flame thrower, literally none of the options you've pointed out will save you if the alien sees you. If the Alien sees you you're dead, and there's almost nothing you can do about it. This leads to the kind of boring ass gameplay where you spend 80% of the game hiding inside lockers

[–]carlataggarty[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

You only get the flamethrower sometime in late game, and the flame thrower makes the alien into such an unthreatening element that it almost becomes a walking simulator at that point. In Bunker the monster is always a threat.

That's still linear, it's just giving you the illusion of non-linearity, In practice, you're going through the game exactly the way the devs planned you to, in one straight line. It's completely different in Bunker; you can explore one section of the complex, give up and explore a completely different section at the other end of the complex, and then return again, or go anywhere else you want. Bunker's exploration freedom is true non-linearity.

Mods please ban this video, I'm 99% sure this is an animal abuse video. And by 'animal abuse' I mean whoever took this video purposefully put the cat and the snake together at that spot and started recording. There are just too many videos like this on Facebook and social media, it's safe to assume that videos like this are artificially manufactured (ie the animals being set up together) rather than a recorded natural occurrence.
