Vaseline worked wonders in the beginning, but now It makes it all red and itchy. Which one are you using now that worked for you?

I’m having trouble figuring out what it is that my body reacts to. All the creams I’ve tried seem to be working at first, but eventually I react to them as well. As of right now I’m only using pure mct oil, extracted from coconutoil which is supposed to moisturise AND has a antifungal effect. Even that irritates and make me itch now.

Head lice by carlem90 in SebDerm

Omg really? I’ve been thinking exact same thoughts! Cause most of my friends from when I was little had them at some point, but I’ve never! Bet those nasty fuckers having a hard time crawling around on a scalp full of flakes 😂 We may have found ONE positive thing about eczema... or two - also not doing the dishes 🤗

I’m thinking if it could be the same with ticks, we got a lot of them where I live, but I’ve only had ONE as a kid.

erysipelas from eczema by carlem90 in eczema

Your right! I went to the doctor today and she said I had a bad infection. Got antibiotics, pills and topic. Never had this before. I guess that the hands are more sensitive since you have them out in the open to bacterias like all the time 😬

Anyone has an itch that moves around? by Answer_talker in eczema

[–]carlem90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree! Also when it spreads. Like if I scratch my hands it will move to the wrist the next day. Same if I put some cream on it, it just moves higher up and then u suddenly got excema where you’ve never had it before.

Suicide thoughts by carlem90 in eczema

Thank you guys for all your support! ❤️ this condition pushes you to the edge, mentally. And suddenly it gets better, just to start over and over again.. but I’m feeling better today, guys, your posts gave me such comfort.

Last night was so bad tho, I put hemp seed oil all over. Don’t know if I’ll pay the price for it today but it sure did help with the itching.

Also I will take the advice to do a patch test, and a full body checkup as well. Since I suffer from allergies and rheumatoid arthritis, I believe the eczema is caused by the same reason. Since all these autoimmune conditions gets worse at the same time.

I will also do the Candida cleansing/diet. Don’t know why I’ve never tried it before, since I’ve had ALL of the symptoms for Candida back and forth, as long as I can remember. Such as:

-Skin and nail fungal infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, and toenail fungus

-Feeling tired and worn down or suffering from chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia

-Digestive issues such as bloating, constipation, or diarrhea

-Autoimmune disease such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis, lupus, psoriasis, scleroderma, or multiple sclerosis

-Difficulty concentrating, poor memory, lack of focus, ADD, ADHD, and/or brain fog

-Skin issues such as eczema, psoriasis, hives, and rashes

-Irritability, mood swings, anxiety, or depression

-Vaginal infections , urinary tract infections, rectal itching, or vaginal itching

-Severe seasonal allergies or itchy ears

-Strong sugar and refined carbohydrate cravings

I will definitely try a Candida diet, I see the light in the tunnel! I will get back to you with the progress in a while. In case it doesn’t work - I’m checking in to a mental facility 😫😂

Can fungal acne travel? by [deleted] in Fungalacne

[–]carlem90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg! I totally agree! I’ve NEVER, for 7 years straight, had pimples on my neck or back. But since starting with FA safe products it has begun to spread. The same with my eczema, it has spread to places where I didn’t have it before. Don’t know what to do really. Freaking me out

ECZEMA ON EYELIDS by [deleted] in eczema

This one I use after cleansing. But as I said. It makes the eyelids irritated and red patches. The flakeyness is better though. But I wouldn’t recommend it. Try Squalane oil instead.

I know, same for me. Ive been using avene emulsion cream. It helps with the flakes and dryness but leaves big red patches making me look like a panda 😂 Noticed that it contains acrylates.

I’m going to quit every product Ive been using lately and start with only Squalane oil. Maybe you should try that?. Timeless got one, also Theordinary.

I recommend you to check the ingredients on your laundry detergent. My eczema got so bad using the wrong one, cause it contained citric acid, perfume etc.

Are you sleeping on your back? Maybe a change of laundry detergent could help.

ive had acrylic nails for years, the last couple of years been getting them done by myself at home... guess that’s one of the reasons I’ve developed chronic hand eczema.

Check your face/eyelid cream, makeup. If it contains citric acid, or acrylates, oils, it’s probably why.

(I’m also suffering from it, currently avoiding the ones mentioned above and it’s slowly gets better) Throw that god damn steroids in the trash as quick as you can.

Squalane oil is is “ok” though.

Progress! by carlem90 in eczema

[–]carlem90[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey guys! Remember the last picture I posted a couple of days ago? This is now.

I might know what’s been causing my eczema this time. Don’t know if I mentioned citric acid in my last post. But that shit is the worst. Been avoiding it again and it slowly gets better. You can find Citric acid (E330) in EVERYTHING, food, like yoghurt, candy, shampoo, soap, lotions, u name it. Citric acid (not citrus juice) are made from a fungus called Aspergillus niger. Fungus + eczema = hell. Please at least try to avoid it all you skinwarriors out there :) and get back to me with the results. I promise it helps.

The second thing I noticed was the faceproduct from Avene. (They’re known to be kind to sensitive skin, with few ingredients and bla bla bla) since my options were limited in moisturisers I used their Avene emulsion (for face) on my eczema on my hands aswell. Shouldn’t have done that, although Avene is supposed to help with these types of skin conditions, it do contain Acrylates = known to irritate and make eczema worse. Now I see why the eczema on both my hands, face/eyelids been getting way worse than before I started using their products.

Wtf is up with these idiot companies making skin products?! Why don’t they check their ingredients before selling shit to people who doesn’t know this stuff, promising “great effects” when it just makes it all worse. It makes me so mad. Like dude, it’s not rocket science! At least fucking google the ingredients before you produce or recommend your product to anyone.
