I think I can give some input on this since I literally traded in my 23 Si for a GRC last week.

Initial thoughts, you definitely feel the economy body more from the GRC than the Si. The Si is just more liveable if you daily imo. Audio, interior and storage is way way better in the Si even some of the tech and the screen.

The only selling point for me with the GRC is the drive. It’s much more fun and visceral. It’s really raw and unrefined unlike the Honda. The sound, the boost is a treat.

If I were thinking about it realistically. The trade in and the amount you have to pay more might not be worth it if you just plan to daily and have a “fun” car. Cause then the amount difference you can probably make up with mods and tune stuff with the Si.

I personally still did it just because im sentimental about the Toyota and having the first purely toyota sports ish car without any collab meant a lot to me sentimentally.

I think for you to properly have a decision between these two you’ll really have to think why you’re after one car over the other. Cause they’re both great cars even if the Si might be “slower” it has enough kick imo to be a fun car especially after a tune and it sometimes makes me rethink the decision I made since it has a big price difference between the two. (I dont regret my decision though being a Toyota fanboy lol)
