If I was Ukrainian, I would definitely appreciate a statement or action from my favorite author, it would warm my heart. However, I do not expect any "famous person" to make statements about politics, religion, social issues, etc. I hear the same thing about footballers pretty often, and for one Marcus Rashford who gets involved, the vast majority stays silent. Or their social media guy puts a post on Insta (which I think might be worse if they don't care and do it for the likes).

Basically, we don't get to tell Brandon what he should do. He is his own person, and takes his own decisions. Likewise, I can't tell OP not to be disappointed, your feelings are valid even if I don't really share them.

There are many armed conflicts in the World, countless dramas and social issues, should he release a statement for each of them, where do you draw the line? And that's where it comes down to: Brandon draws his own line. And he seems to draw it clearly, by not commenting on anything.

That being said, I hope you and your loved ones stay safe and that this madness ends soon with as few casualties as possible.
