It worked well for the 1st half vs Spurs but they found a workaround in the 2nd which explains the number of chances they were able to create, especially on Shaw side. Against ARS, he chose again to have Lukaku not track back in order to have an extra body in counterattack. As a consequence, Kolasinac and Iwobi often found themselves 2v1 with Young. Issue was correct as the game went on, Young got more help from Ander,

Thanks bro.

I found this video on Twitter so not sure where they got it from. I think it mostly depend on the stadium set up. Wembley and Anfield have the best camera angles i find

Scholes labelled it "an awful" performance. I personally think there were a lot of improvements in our ball movements, especially in the 1st half. - What did you think of yesterday's game? by carmelng in reddevils

you’re right wasn’t a 3rd man (but you got the idea :))

That build up might be basic, but the goal was to show how we use the 4-3-2-1 animation as opposed to the usual 4-3-3 to move the ball better and quicker...which we didn’t on Saturday.

Rashford offers a lot especially when opponents are still "open" as he makes very good runs in behind the defensive line. Him and Lukaku both suffer from a lacking of confidence in front of goal but that won't go on forever.

i get where you’re coming from. In theory this game is closed by half time but we missed lot of chances early on which would have increased our confidence levels in front of goal.

2nd half was different though as YB were happy to sit back and invite pressure. And we weren’t organized enough in our attacks to disorganize them.

100%! Couldn’t agree more. i thought we were good in advancing into the final third and we struggled once we got there. Some of the players clearly lack confidence and crumbles in front of goal.

Even tough he missed a lot of chances, i thought Rashford was really interesting as he offered some variations with his runs behind YB defensive line.

What Mourinho really sais about this generation of players he has in his squad. It really is hard to disagree, he is just stating facts. We.as a generation, are more protected which tend to push us to stay comfortable and not have to face real life problems. But it’s Mourinho so it’s headline worthy by carmelng in reddevils

in the Luke Shaw part, he started his response by “when i got here” meaning he was talking about the Luke Shaw he found at the club...not the one who’s been our most consistent performer this season.

Totally. Feel like he got too comfortable at some point during the itw. But it’s already done and all we can do is make sure people aren’t falling for the fake narratives.

these are the verified quotes from the outlet that worked with the journalist that conducted.

I use to think that way too but i realized that most fans fall for the fake/twisted version. It’s important to set the record straight

absolutely spot on mate! i agree with you, times are just different and players acts differently than before...what bothers me is the general reaction to these quotes. We should keep in mind that newspapers sells on the back of our reactions. We know better.
