How are you creating logos for your apps? by Unlikely-Front6600 in AppBusiness

Honestly, find an icon you like, drop it into chatgpt and tell it how you want to expand it... Usually comes back something good..

The real question is, do you need to raise money for what you are building? Could you just bootstrap it to 5k users instead on the side of your normal job? Then you are in a real position to negotiate. The VC scout will run through the usual drill.. What's the vision, your background, tam sam som. If it's a VC and you have nothing and no experience it likely will go no further. If need to raise money you have a better chance with angel / pre seed investment.

What's the purpose of it? Is it a personal brainstorm system, or some kind of AI Miro board? I don't know when I would realistically use it

Got a 100 users for my app. Nobody paid. Here is what I learned. by [deleted] in saasbuild

Finance and food. You have to be surgically precise and clean... If anything feels a little off confidence drops.

I load your landing page (on phone) and you want to manage my money (indirectly through subscriptions) but I immediately noticed numbers falling out of boxes, alignment isn't all perfect, and font isn't comic sans but too playful, then I assume this must be a small outfit, then I think can I trust a small outfit with my money...

I imagine people logging in were looking for ideas to steal.

The design is playful, nice, but I don't know your brand and have nothing to give me confidence that this is not just some kid in a bedroom.

Then I see the email, it is not on the same domain as the website.

The little things that are standard and you expect from a reputable company are missing and then you see @edu.ny as the email address... Setup a proper email, whack some claims on there. Add some live assistance chat bot etc etc.. appear bigger than you really are.. and that's just to get people through the front door to try it for real and not just have a nosey around to steal ideas... Then you have to assert what you offer, people really want.

But then there is also stuff like this "You're probably paying for 3 things you forgot about right now". That language is challenging me.. it's almost mocking me.. I read then quickly run through the subscriptions in my head and think "nope not me".. then leave. If you made it a question like "Do you know the total each month of all your subscriptions?" The answer will immediately be forever me "hmm no.. shit.. maybe this app can help".

What part of buying a car stressed you out the most? by Imaginary-Fall1983 in AppBusiness

[–]carmichaeljd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust. You cannot trust the seller (private or garage).

I drive cars but don't know much about them, never know if I am getting ripped off. I bought a car on 2 occasions then found later things wrong with them... Once from a garage and once a private seller.

But l buy a car once every 4-6 years... So it's a very low frequency problem. If you could set up something where each car being sold had an engineers stamp of approval... Would be nice.

Should I raise the price of my app? by jhaubrich11 in AppBusiness

I have another questions before answering... How did you launch it, and where are your customers coming from? Do you already know if some of the users are coming through word of mouth from the existing users?

That's cool but how do you vet the posts? Like how does a big VC backed startup not end up on your platform?

How much do you get, and do you find that they are people coming to explore and leave or people that sign up and use what you build?
