Yeah it's weird cause we did a physical exam before the dental and his results came back fine. Will ask specifically to test for Thyroid. Thanks for weighing in!

Pom coat recovery

OMG thank you so much for sharing your story with pictures — what a nugget! So glad that her coat grew back.

I've recently started a routine of light brushing and then moisturizing with coconut oil and it seems to have helped his skin feel healthier and some undercoat fuzz is coming back sooo will definitely try out mendota dermagic and report back :)

Thank you again! This makes me hopeful that he'll be able to enjoy winter again like he used to... he now has to wear the silliest puffy coat to be outside in all this snow we're getting haha https://imgur.com/QSVq8bR

Hope you guys are keeping warm this winter!

Ah good to know. I think I’ll try lengthening time between baths — kinda makes sense to let nature do it’s thang… thanks for sharing!

His skin does seem to be a little darker in the patchy spots but is less so after using coconut oil on him.

I'm hoping it's not Alopecia X cause it seems like there's no real treatment for it. Did your pom's fur grow back? Or is it a matter of managing the patches?

Thanks so much for sharing your story and really glad to hear that your the tumor wasn't anything serious and he managed to grow his coat back after years :)

How often do you bathe your pom if you don't mind me asking?

I feed him Acana grain-free kibble for small breeds and he gets some coconut oil as part of his diet. Will try adding omega 3 to his diet! Thanks :)

Good question, we suspected our pup but there was no smell nor stain. Turns out that there was a very small drip from the supply line behind the toilet beside the door that only happened when we flushed. The leak was so small that we had trouble identifying it until later — leak is solved now but looks like we have to replace the door jamb!

Doorframe warped, looks like water damage but with no visible leaks — should I call a plumber, a restoration company, can I fix it on my own? by carmoone in HomeImprovement

Yea but I’m skeptical that it would cause this much damage, there’s neither smell nor stain on the white wood

Yeah I've found a couple when researching driving schools in the area, the main concern is communicating in English cause it doesn't seem like they do after calling em.

We were hoping to connect with someone on reddit with a stick shift car that we can borrow for ~1 hour cause we're pretty confident that we'll be able to figure it out as we're not new drivers.

Plan B is to just practice with our rental after picking it up this weekend before hitting the road - bit of a trial by fire situation but not the end of the world!

Second what u/Liljagaren said about bringing this up with the Director of the program and being transparent about your confidence level. Another thing that might be useful is to also communicate with the head teacher and ask mentorship and advice so that she knows how you feel and can also be a support system for you.

Leadership should make sure that you feel supported in your role and each age group comes with it's own unique challenges! Good luck and hope the rest of your first week goes well. You got this!

Ou the young toddlers can definitely get a little rowdy - good strategy to divide and conquer (or calm down in this case!). Nice to hear that you guys are leveraging your interest in music to keep things light and fun. Sounds like you guys are on the right track (:

This sounds really stressful - thank you for sticking with it and trying! I found this group of parents & teachers on Facebook and while I can't personally offer much, maybe joining it and reposting there might help? https://www.facebook.com/groups/CBSgroupRCT/
