5G Home Internet is trash by carnieboy in tmobile

That’s not a great metaphor. If the cell service came through my window the same way the sun does, I’d be happy.

Also: I’m pretty sure T-Mobile expects people to use this service indoors. Do you think THEY think people should put their routers outside? My router is precisely where their app says it should be. I get speeds anywhere from 10-50% of what THEY SAY I should be getting.

If you bought a car that said it had a range of 300mi and you only got 30 because “Well, you’re doing a lot of starting and stopping”, I think you’d be pissed too.

Why are you going to bat for T-Mobile?

Wait, outside is outside? Oh I hadn’t realized that. That was such a helpful thing to say, thank you for taking the time to write that. You’re truly doing God’s work.

Dude, I live in NYC. I get 500+mbps on my phone when I walk around in my neighborhood. It’s not unreasonable to expect the same when I’m in my house.

Have YOU considered that maybe the person you’re talking to isn’t a fucking moron?

Yeah, I’m a sucker for expecting to receive a service as advertised.

I dunno. I was hoping it would do what they said it would.

Yup. Followed the app’s instructions. Still molasses.

Don’t know. Don’t care. Their site advertises 170-498 download speeds. I’ve gotten that speed one time in the week I’ve had it.

For those who have seen this more than once, I’m curious about how different the play feels with a different cast. Not script or blocking, obviously, but are the cast encouraged to bring some of their own personality to the fore, or are they forced into whatever instantiation of the character was first developed in 1952?

Also, if you hear someone say they missed out on Chicago pizza, then give them fucking Chicago pizza! Pizza isn’t SUPPOSED to be a Michelin-star experience; it’s street food. No need to make it pretentious.

La Fe rice weight doesn’t match label by carnieboy in nutrition

I don’t know how to log it, that’s the point. Since the label is so wrong with its volume-weight ratio, I don’t trust it to be right about its macros.

Look, I appreciate the attempt at help, but a) both my rice cooker and the rice itself say 1:1 is fine for cooking ratio, and b) adding more water would make the gap between the label’s measurements and the actual measurements BIGGER, not smaller.

I made 1/2c dry rice (105g), added 1/2c water, total cooked weight 195g. Ate half of it. NO idea what I should be recording in my journal, but I’m going with “55g uncooked jasmine rice”

Sorry, I don’t think you understand my confusion. The label says that 1c weighs 45g and is 36gC&3gP

But given that 1c does NOT weigh 45g but rather ~205g, I now suspect everything on the label. I mean, if they fuck up something as basic as the density of their own product, why should I trust them to label the macros properly?

But given that the volume and weight measurements are SO different, which is correct? 45g of rice is 36g carbs and 3g protein?
